As the regular season has come to an end, and District tournaments are going strong around the state, weDuckworth bring to you our final installment of the Kentucky Player of the Week.

With a huge number of nominations this week, the task of selecting the one standout player in the state was difficult to say the least.  However, after looking through all of the compiled information, it was clear who deserved the award.

In four games last week, 2014 outfielder Kaleb Duckworth did all he could in powering the #7 ranked Colonels (25-8) to three wins.

The 6-foot-3, 190-pound, right-handed hitter went 7-for-12 with a double, 4 home runs, 5 stolen bases, and 6 RBI while hitting in the lead-off spot in the lineup.

In fact, Duckworth recently tied a Kentucky state record when he homered in five consecutive games from May 3 - May 17.

For the season, Duckworth is hitting .457 with 7 doubles, 10 home runs, and 22 stolen bases.  He will be participating in the Top Prospect Games event June 11-12.

In honor of his performance on the field, Kaleb Duckworth has been named the Kentucky Player of the Week.
