Wesley Jorette, OF, Anderson County HS, 2015

Jorette is a 5-foot-10, 155-pound OF with an athletic frame who shows a good combination of speed and arm strength.

At the plate, Jorette hits from a balanced stance and utilizes a short stride.  He is a line drive type hitter who showed some bat speed with an exit velocity of 86 mph off the tee.  Jorette’s offensive game will benefit from added strength to his frame and more consistent use of his lower half.  His 6.78 60-yard time bodes well for him to use speed as an offensive weapon at the next level.

Defensivey, Jorette is a very good defender in the outfield.  He displays athletic actions with fluid footwork and attacks the ball aggressively.  He shows 84 mph arm strength with good online carry to his throws, and with his speed, could fill the role of a college center fielder.4

With his speed and arm strength, Jorette is a player to watch closely this spring.
