Updated Power 25

For the fourth consecutive week, we have a new No. 1 ranked team in the PBR Kentucky Power 25, although it’s not their first time occupying the top spot this season.

After a two week hiatus, Tates Creek finds themselves back at the top, fresh off a week that saw them allow a total of one run in wins over #6 Eastern, #16 Lafayette, and Western Hills.  The Commodores have yet to lose to a team from Kentucky, with both of their losses coming to out of state teams during their Spring Break trip to Florida.

As for the rest of the rankings, parity continues to be the theme.  In fact, if there is one thing you can count on so far this spring, it is to expect the unexpected.  If it seems like anyone can knock off anyone on any given night; that sentiment would be pretty much correct.

And regarding that No. 1 spot in the Power 25, every team ranked there so far this season has proceeded to lose multiple games the week they found themselves at the top.  We’ll see if Tates Creek can become the first team to break that trend.  With District games this week against Lexington Catholic and Paul Laurence Dunbar, that may be easier said than done.

Here is a look at this week’s Top 5

1. tates creek 9-2-1
2. paul laurence dunbar 12-4
3. St. Xavier 14-6
4. Mercer County 11-3
5. west jessamine 14-2
