Weekend Recap: Quick Hits

Over the course of the last week, Prep Baseball Report Louisiana spent time at games all across the state. Every week we will do a short, weekly roundup of prospects seen, as well as noteworthy performances that have been sent in to us. Lets dive into this week’s recap!

+ Louisiana State commit, 2017 RHP Blayne Enlow (St. Amant HS) faced off against Catholic (BR) HS on Saturday. The 6-foot-3 right-hander showed a clean, loose arm and pitched at 88-91 mph with his fastball, running it up to 94 mph. He also showed a plus breaking ball with 11/5 shape, tight spin and depth at 77-79 mph. He went 5 innings only surrendering 1 earned run.

+ Austin McInnis went 3-for-6 with a double and home run. He also pitched 7 innings giving up 1 earned run, and struck out 7.

+ Brett Fisackerly went 4-for-10 with 2 doubles, a home run, 6 RBI and 4 runs scored. He also pitched a complete game shutout striking out 7.

+ Hunter Tabb went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a triple on Saturday against Sam Houston.

+ C.J. Estave went 5-for-7 with 2 doubles and 2 RBI.

+ Mack McElveen went 6-for-7 with 3 RBI.

+ Bo Hardin went 7-for-9 on the week and threw a 2-hit complete game shutout against Barbe. That is Hardin’s third straight complete game outing. 

+ Dean Alexander pitched 2 complete games wins while  allowing  1 earned run, 4 hits and striking out 24. He also went 7-for-11 with 3 doubles, 1 HR and 10 RBI.

+ Ty O’Neal went 7 innings, giving up 1 unearned run with 5 K, 1BB, and 4 hits in a no-decision. He also had a 7-pitch save. On the season he has an ERA of 1.18 in 29.2 IP.

+ 2017 C Ross Scelfo went 5-for-7 and  threw out 4-of-4 stolen base attempts.

+ 2016 INF Michael Smith hit his 5th homer in 3 games and has 15 RBI in that span.

+ Daniel Charbonet went 6.1 innings allowing 0 runs, 2 hits and stuck 6.
