Season Outlook
The Lakers have a strong core returning from a 22-win team and appearance in the MIAA B Conference championship in 2015. SS/RHP Mark Lopez leads the way and possibly is the best player in the MIAA B. He hit .377 in 2015 and will be called upon as one of the arms to replace Skyler Morris, who is now at Towson. On the offensive end Boys??? Latin will have to replace some key losses from the middle of their order in the form of Morris, Josh Smith, Dom Maggio, and Bo Harchick Lopez, 1B Max Keefe (.338 BA), and Sam Bowen (.383 BA) will be some of the players to fill in for the Lakers offense. Finding some new players to fill in and create runs will be a priority.

Justin Ward returns on the hill for the Lakers and will anchor the pitching rotation coming off a dominant 10-0 0.83 ERA campaign in 2015. Look for him and Lopez to head up a deep pitching staff. As mentioned before, the Lakers will need to find an arm to replace Skyler Morris, but are excited with a deep pitching staff and feel they have a strength on the mound. The Lakers have a solid group of young talent that look to break through this season for the team. Boys??? Latin has a tough schedule set for 2016, and though the record might not replicate last season, look for the Lakers to contend once again for a MIAA B conference championship.
