SEASON OUTLOOK
After graduating a strong senior class including Joey Nepi, Trevor Hunter, Brandon Bly, Derek Lambert, Adam Parker and Nick Sayers the Silver Eagles look to reload. With all that high amount of players lost to graduation, the biggest loss will be from graduated Delaware State Player of the year, Brandon Walter.

Returning starter Matt Andrus (4-1 in 2015) will look to lead a pitching staff that includes sophomore Connor Megginson and senior Eric Gustaffson. Bryon Cowen will lead a lineup with several new faces. Senior shortstop Rob Malin and junior Dylan Hebert return from arm injuries to solidify the middle of the infield and senior Richie Thompson and Cory Joines return to the outfield. Shane Talvacchio will return behind the dish and should be a tough one to run on after throwing out 32% of stolen base attempts from last season. The batting order will offer a good mix of speed and the ability to drive in runs.

The Silver Eagles will have an inexperienced team this 2016 season. With several guys that have played on the varsity level for the last few years in part-time roles will now be looked upon as full time starters. Manufacturing runs and playing solid defense will be key to winning. Look for the Silver Eagles to get stronger as the season progresses and players begin to get comfortable in their new every day roles.
