Please give a little background on the Liberty baseball program.

  • 74 Total players have moved on to professional baseball
  • Three of more players have been selected in each of the last five MLB drafts
  • NCAA Regionals in 2013 and 2014
  • Liberty Baseball Stadium ranked No. 4 nationally by Stadium Journey

What is unique to the program that the coaching staff and team take great pride in?

  • Competing nationally at the highest level of Division I baseball and developing student-athletes while attending the world's largest Christian university.

What do you look for in potential players?

  • Talent!!
  • Mental Toughness / Work Ethic!
  • Character!
  • Grades!

Are there any immediate “Red Flags” when recruiting players?

  • Repeating of character issues that are damaging to himself / others.

Have any players gone on to play professionally from the program? If so, how many?

Do you have any advice for prospective student athletes as they go through the recruiting process?

  • The recruiting process is an "individual timeline"...understanding your current talent level and potential for development will help you identify the best place academically and athletically.
