Zach Adams C Stephen Decatur
Zach AdamsMount St. Mary's

Scouting Report

6.30.15 - Athletic frame at 5-foot-11 175-pounds.  Short and loose arm action with carry on throws.  Catcher velocity got up to 77 mph. Sound footwork and clean exchange.  Athletic behind the plate and controls body well. Pop times ranged from 2.01- 2.08. At the plate hit from a slightly open set up with a short stride into load.  Level bath path with quick bat speed.  Direct to the baseball. Average balance in swing with some rhythm.  Gap-to-gap style hitter with some rhythm.  Interesting skill set, one to keep an eye on. 4.60 home to first time and 89 mph exit velocity.

Outlook

Adams was a catching prospect that flew under the radar over the summer. He is heading to Mount St. Mary’s of the Northeast conference. He could have a strong chance to contribute to the program on the defensive end with his skill and work ethic behind the plate. As he continues to develop and adjust on the offensive end should be a nice offensive option for the team from the catching position. Adams still has plenty of untapped potential.

Ryan Brown OF Saint James School
Ryan BrownCharleston-Southern

Scouting Report

6.30.15 - Athletic frame at 5-foot-10 170 pounds.  Balanced set up. Fluid rhythm in swing.  Occasionally gets on front foot but balance is strong in swing.  Short path and fast bat speed with some extension and some potential for pop.  Gap-to-gap style hitting.  Throws from an over-the-top arm angle with a long arm action. Throws have carry on them at 83 mph. Soft hands, fluid footwork, clean exchange and plays through the ball well. Ran a 4.25 home-to-first and had an exit velocity of 90 mph. Ran a 6.64 60-yard dash in November.

Outlook

Brown is heading south to Charleston-Southern of the Big South. Brown should make an impact for the team in the outfield and possibly could contribute early on in his career as he adjusts to the speed of the college game. As he continues to develop, brown looks like he should be a constant contributor in his career as a top of the order type hitter early and could develop some power potential later on. Will be an interesting player to follow through his college career.

Billy Godrick OF Archbishop Spalding
Billy GodrickFordham

Scouting Report

Athletic frame with physical build and room to add more.  Hits from an athletic, balanced set up with a short path to the ball and some bat speed. Gap-to-gap type hitter that is at his best when he is using the whole field. Great first step quickness and is a sub 6.8 runner consistently and has been down in the 6.6 range at times. Covers a lot of ground in centerfield.

Outlook

Godrick is heading to Fordham in the Atlantic-10. Should be able to contribute immediately on the defensive end with his ability and range in the outfield. As he progresses and develops, should be a top of the order type talent in the lineup and also be a constant threat on the base paths as well.
