As PBR continues to our update of both state and overall rankings, PBR Maryland takes some time to breakdown the most recent updated overall rankings of the 2017 class. The Prep Baseball Report has continued to expand our coverage on the national level, now covering 27 states as well as Ontario. With talented states such as New Jersey and Florida entering the fold, numerous players are making their way into the rankings for the first time.

Maryland saw its largest number of players make their way into the overall ranks with this latest edition. Talented SS Jeremy Arocho was the first MD player making the ranks at No. 51. The Maryland commit has seen his stock rise over this year and could be a player to see his stock rise in 2016.

Same thing goes for the talented outfielder Randy Bednar of Landon, the second Maryland player to make the overall ranks at the No. 112 spot. Bednar is an extremely talented player showing multiple tools from the outfield. Bednar is another player to watch this upcoming 2016 season.

LHP Grant Burleson (No. 130) and RHP Kieran Garner (No. 134) round out the Maryland players to make the top half of the rankings. Both young arms have a raw skill set with plenty of upside in their projection.

Previously talked about in our Top Newcomers to the 2017 rankings article, Ryan Bywaters and Colin Adams also find themselves in the overall rankings for the first time as well. Bywaters is at No. 271 and Adams at No. 300.

Other players from the PBR Maryland state rankings that found themselves in the overall include Brendan Collins of Sherwood at No. 241 and Joey Haass of Polytech at No. 286.
