The games started with a bang as James M. Bennett RHP Dallas Repine took the mound first on the day and the 6-foot-7 RHP impressed immediately with a loose, quick arm throwing from a three quarter slot that sat 86-88 in the first inning touching 89 a few times in the frame. Repine tailed off after the first, ranging from 83-87 after. He shows a 10/4 braking ball that was inconsistent and still needs some work, but there is plenty to like about the young right hander who will be throwing harder down the road.

Talented Archbishop Curley (MD) teammates Nick Brown and Trent Gast-Woodard should be considered as two of the top uncommitted position players in the state. Brown made loud contact throughout the day spraying around the field and showing strength to drive the ball in the gaps. Brown gives an option as a corner outfielder as well as a first base option moving around the bag well. Gast-Woodard provides an impressive presence behind the plate, and has reshaped his frame in the past year. The catcher has dropped 30 pounds and looks now to be filling it out with strength. He continues to develop behind the dish, moving around the plate with nice hip control as well as a quick release with consistent accuracy on his throws that have a natural carry to them. What stuck out he most on the day was Gast-Woodard showing to be more fleet of foot with a 60-yard dash as 7.31, and his continued strength with a 95 mph exit velocity.

Another strong framed catching prospect to stick out was Marshall Awtry of Conrad School (DE). Awtry made some loud contact during his batting practice on the day with pull side power potential. He showed arm strength behind the plate that could get better as he improves his footwork.

Nick Collier is an intriguing pitching prospect from the left side. He has a shorter arm action with deception up to 83 on the day. What intrigues the most about Collier is he could fill numerous roles on a staff depending on what you are looking for.

Plenty of talent was on display that wasn't mentioned here and stay tuned as more from this event will come next week.
