From now until the start of the 2015 season, Prep Baseball Report Michigan will bring you in-depth team previews throughout the entire state. If your coach has not filled out the survey please have him do so through this link.

2015 Team Preview: Farmington

Postseason Accomplishments:

Strengths of Team:

  • Pitching depth - lots of young guys that can throw
  • Infield defense
  • Experience and depth at catcher
  • Young players have a great appetite for the game
  • Coachability of players

Weaknesses of Team:

  • Inexperience
  • Lack of running speed
  • Too many right-handed bats

Top Prospects in Class of 2015:

  • Ravi Mahanti- RHP/1B, 6-2, 185, R-R signed with SVSU, 84 mph bat speed, mid-80s FB, good breaking ball.

Top Prospects in Class of 2016:

  • Alex Manasa- CF, 6-5, 175, L-R- basketball player, great speed, definite college CF.
  • Lance Lovett- 1B, 6-5, 210, L-L, works hard, needs development, 77 mph bat speed in Dec 2014.

  • Steven Satterfield, RHP, 6-5, 190, R-R- big kid good arm, needs work but has tools.
  • Collin Finn- RHP, 2017, 6-2, 165, L-R, hockey player, huge hands, good movement on FB & CH.

  • Deven Mahanti- C, 5-11, R-R, good frame, bat speed looks good for freshman.
