Josh Sulak2016 Team Strengths: Our starting pitching will be an asset. Returning to our staff are: Josh Sulak ’16 (Northwood Commit, pictured right) was, Owen Spryszak ‘16, Kyle Wolter (Lawrence Tech Commit) ’16, Taylor Burke ’16, Regan Fleisher ‘16, Cameron Stella ’16, Josh Janovsky ’17. Newcomers Brendan Lacorato ’17 and Mike Matovina ’17 will contribute to a deep staff. We will be strong behind the plate with Evan Claggett ’16 and Ryan Elliott ’16 returning after strong Junior seasons. Pete Carravallah ’16 will anchor our outfield and is also a returning after a strong junior season. Kyle Wolter ’16 will be a 3-year starter who will anchor our infield and provide senior leadership. Mike Wischer ’17 returns after a short stint with the varsity last season. We look forward to contributions from him and several others, including Austin Scheffer ‘17, Jake MacBrien ‘17, Nik Patel ’17 and Chase Timko ‘17. We also have several sophomores who have a chance to contribute this season.

2016 Team Weaknesses: We are losing several key pieces from last years’ team. Kevin Anthony P/3B, Seth Hubbard 1B (Concordia University), Patrick Downing RF/P (Concordia University), Andrew Hejka 2B, Jared Merandi LF (Schoolcraft College) and Andrew Jossey (Saginaw Valley State). We are confident in returning players to fill these roles.

Coach Outlook: Head Coach Jason Crain "We are excited with how athletic our team will be. We have added speed and depth to our roster and can’t wait to see them perform. As usual, we have a difficult schedule featuring: Saline, Northville, Grosse Pointe South, Bay City Western, Brother Rice and many other great opponents. Our cross campus rivals Canton and Salem are always great games and we look forward to those matchups as well."
