We would like to thank all who participated in PBR Michigan’s Lansing Winter Open ID Showcase. This was a great opportunity for unsigned senior prospects to be put on college radars. Many players impressed during their individual workouts at the showcase. Below we have the complete statistical results from the event as well as the top performers across various different categories.

In the coming weeks, we will be adding and updating profiles for each of the players in attendance, including complete analysis and video.

Adam Proctor, C, St. John’s, 2017

6-foot, 213-pound prospect. Great frame and stature behind the plate. Smooth and easy receiver who sticks all pitches well. Well above average and technically sound blocker. Pop times of 1.88-2.00. Ran a 7.60 60-yard dash. Exudes confidence at the plate, plus bat path with big time strength from the left side. Open-to-even stance with big time power. Bat speed registered at 94 mph.

Austin Matusz, 3B/OF/RHP, Okemos, 2017

5-foot-11, 135-pound prospect. Loose, athletic high-¾ arm action. Fastball has good movement at 69-71 mph. 11/5 curveball with gradual break at 58-61 mph. Changeup has some sink at 63-67 mph. Good clean actions with footwork and glove in the outfield, accurate arm at 74 mph. Loose, athletic actions with glove on the infield with good range, threw 70 mph across the infield. Good separation with good lower half weight transfer in a pull approach Bat speed registered at 70 mph.

Chris Regan, OF/RHP, Holt, 2017

5-foot-7, 125-pound prospect. High-¾ arm action with north and south down the mound well. Fastball was 68-73 mph. 12/6 curveball with gradual break at 65-67 mph. Moves well in the outfield with good hands, threw 73 mph. Ran a 8.31 60-yard dash. Big leg kick on stride with lack of load in middle of the field approach. Bat speed registered at 70 mph.

Dan Clark, 3B/1B, Holt, 2017

5-foot-9, 187-pound prospect. Showed good fundamentally actions at third base with footwork and soft hands. Threw 67 mph across the infield. Ran a 7.81 60-yard dash. Open-to-even stance with plus bat strength in a middle of the field approach. Bat speed registered at 84 mph.

Gehrig Anglin, SS/RHP, St. Clair, 2017

6-foot-2, 180-pound prospect. Quick, loose ¾ arm action slight across his body. Fastball has good arm-side run down in the zone at 77-79 mph. Curveball had plus break at 64-67 mph. Changeup was 70-73 mph. Plus actions with footwork and glove at shortstop, loose arm action throwing 73 mph across the infield.Ran a 7.54 60-yard dash. Shows plus bat strength with good leverage in his swing creating plus power to middle and pull side. Bat speed registered at 91 mph.

Houston James, RHP/MIF, Taylor Kennedy, 2017

6-foot, 140-pound prospect. Over-the-top arm action falling slightly to the first base side. Fastball was 63-67 mph. 12/6 curveball with gradual break at 52-55 mph and changeup at 50-52 mph. Soft hands fielding the ball deep at shortstop, over-the-top arm action throwing 68 mph across the infield. Ran a 7.94 60-yard dash. Wide stance, load creates and arm bar, sprays ball to all fields. Bat speed registered at 67 mph.

Jack Slavin, OF/3B, Hartland, 2017

5-foot-9, 170-pound prospect. Quick actions in the outfield getting to the baseball and getting rid of it, threw 80 mph. Athletic footwork and soft hands at third base, threw 73 mph across the infield. Ran a 7.36 60-yard dash. Narrow closed off stance, quick short compact swing from the left side. Bat speed registered at 74 mph.

Jacob Ramont, SS/2B, Lansing Catholic Central, 2017

5-foot-10, 155-pound prospect. Athletic actions at shortstop with footwork and glove, threw 79 mph across the infield. Ran a 7.67 60-yard dash. Slight bat wrap, good strength with an excellent bat path in a middle of the field approach. Bat speed registered at 80 mph.

Jesse Heikkinen, LHP/OF, Holt, 2017

6-foot-1, 150-pound prospect. Michigan State commitment has grown and showed off his increased arm strength. Loose, athletic ¾ arm slot with clean mechanics from the left side of the mound. Fastball was 81-85 mph with arm-side run. Curveball was 63-67 mph, changeup showed good sink at 72-74, and mixed in a slider at 71-73 mph. Clean athletic actions with plus arm strength from the outfield throwing 88 mph. Ran a 7.50 60-yard dash. Open-to-even stance with loose hands and ability to hit to all fields from the left side. Bat speed registered at 79 mph.

Joe Nagy, SS, John F. Kennedy, 2017

5-foot-11, 180-pound prospect. Smooth actions at shortstop with footwork and glove, long arm action throwing 70 mph across the infield. Ran a 7.89 60-yard dash. Good plate discipline, backside drifts through swing in a pull approach. Bat speed registered at 77 mph.

Josh Scher, RHP, South Lyon East, 2017

5-foot-9, 155-pound prospect. Over-the-top arm action, works north and south well down the mound. Good command of all three pitches. Fastball was 63-67 mph. 12/6 curveball at 55-59 mph and knuckle with plus sink at 54-57 mph. Ran a 7.81 60-yard dash.

Max Stevenson, SS/RHP, Utica Eisenhower, 2017

5-foot-10, 150-pound prospect. Loose over-the-top arm action, falls slightly to first base side. Fastball was 76-77, 11/5 curveball at 66-69 mph, and changeup with some sink at 69-71 mph. Plus actions at shortstop with loose athletic actions, threw 76 mph across the infield. Ran a 7.18 60-yard dash. Toe tap stride with great ability of moving the baseball around the entire field. Bat speed registered at 82 mph.

Michael Hrit, 3B, Novi, 2017

5-foot-10, 180-pound prospect. Soft hands with good footwork at third base, threw 73 mph across the infield. Ran a 7.78 60-yard dash. Get good separation with strength in his bat in a middle of the field approach. Bat speed registered at 77 mph.

Wyatt Rush, RHP/SS, Grand Ledge, 2017

6-foot-1, 165-pound prospect. High-¾ arm action with good extension over front side. Fastball was 73-76 mph, 11/5 curveball with good action at 61-63 mph, and changeup at 65-69 mph. Good actions in the outfield with an over-the-top arm action throwing 75 mph. Good footwork and soft hands at shortstop, threw 72 mph. Ran a 7.71 60-yard dash. Even to closed stance, good hand slot in a gap-to-gap approach from the left side. Bat speed registered at 82 mph.

Burrell Jones, RHP/3B, Holt, 2018

6-foot-3, 170-pound prospect. High over-the-top arm action creating good leverage down the slope on the mound. Command fastball well at 74-79 mph. Curveball with gradual break at 61-65 mph. Changeup had good sink at 70-73 mph. Good actions at third base with footwork and field the ball out in front of his body well. Threw 70 mph across the infield. Ran a 7.70 60-yard dash. Open-to-even stance with good separation in a middle to pull approach. Bat speed registered at 82 mph.

Garrison Messenger, SS/RHP, East Lansing, 2018

5-foot-7, 125-pound prospect. Smooth actions at shortstop fielding the ball out in front of body well. Threw 60 mph across the infield. Ran a 7.74 60-yard dash. Good separation with a good bat path in a middle of the field approach. Bat speed registered at 60 mph.

Zachary Burnham, RHP/SS, Harper Creek, 2018

6-foot-1, 150-pound prospect. Long, high-¾ arm action with good extension. Fastball was 70-74 mph, curveball at 60-65 mph, and changeup with some sink at 64-66 mph. Works hands out in front at shortstop well, short arm action throwing 71 mph across the infield. Ran a 7.41 60-yard dash. Tall narrow stance, good plate discipline in a middle of the field approach. Bat speed registered at 70 mph.
