Michigan Daily Roundup: April 17th Games





Stoney Creek 7-4, Lake Orion 4-2:
In the first game, Brad Schaenzer struck out nine in 5 2/3 innings for Lake Orion while Miles Hardy and Connor Grant each had a pair of hits. For Stoney Creek, Josh Niederhauser had two hits and Eric Gilgenbach got the win on the mound. In the second game, Josh Bays struck out ten for Lake Orion and only allowed three hits in six innings while Joe Cox got the win for Stoney Creek.


Walled Lake Northern 4-10, Walled Lake Western 2-1: In the first game, Brennan Williams hit a walk-off home run for Northern while Ryan Snyder struck out thirteen including the first six hitters he faced. In the second game, Michael Kirschbaum gave up one run and seven hits while walking two and striking out eight.

Birmingham Seaholm 10, Farmington Hills Harrison 7: In the first game, Brennan Williams hit a walk-off home run for Northern while Ryan Snyder struck out thirteen including the first six hitters he faced. In the second game, Michael Kirschbaum gave up one run and seven hits while walking two and striking out eight.

Oxford 16-0, Rochester 4-4: In the first game Jake Stout had two hits for Rochester while Connor Pacella threw a one-hit shutout in the second game without walking a hitter. Max Harper also chipped in two hits for Rochester in the second game.


Ortonville Brandon 3-4, Clio 1-10: Sean Martens threw a two-hitter with ten strikeouts and had two hits including a home run in the first game.

Walled Lake Central 3-6, Waterford Kettering 1-4: Kyle Wilkie struck out ten in the first game for Central.

Grand Blanc 15-7, Milford 2-4


Southfield 7, Detroit Martin Luther King 1: David Cole hit a home run and also threw a complete game with eight strikeouts for Southfield.

 

Rochester Adams 6-4, Clarkston 4-1: In the first game, Jacob Verploeg and Tyler Durand each had two hits for Rochester Adams. Verploeg had two more in the second game while Joey Prechtel threw a complete game for Adams.

 

Troy Athens 5-4, Auburn Hills Avondale 3-3: Logan Priebe had two hits in each game for Athens.

Bloomfield Hills 18-7, Royal Oak 0-2: In the first game Troy Saruna had four hits and Matt Biermann had three hits and five RBIs for the victorious Black Hawks. Charlie Dauch chipped in three RBIs in the second game.

Southfield-Lathrup 18-12, Oak Park 0-0

Lakeland 4-3, Waterford Mott 2-3

Auburn Hills Oakland Christian 5, Southfield Christian 3

 

North Farmington 3, Farmington 2

 

Warren De La Salle 4-2, Orchard Lake St. Mary's 3-1: Dominic DiPuma hit a double in the second game while Danny Michalak struck out ten for DLS. In the first game, Brent Morris struck out thirteen.

Sterling Heights Stevenson 10, Chippewa Valley 0: Jake Rogers threw a complete game one-hit shutout for Stevenson while Dean Emanuele, Ryan Kasprzyk, Andrew Papadelis, and Riley McCauley each had a pair of hits.

Macomb Dakota 7, L'Anse Creuse North 3: Brendan Mangan had three hits for Dakota and Tyler Riddoch had two.

Utica Eisenhower 2, Grosse Pointe South 1: Taylor Curtis got the win for Eisenhower, scattering five hits and striking out seven.
