Michigan Spotlight Game: DeWitt vs Mason - Doubleheader

Michigan Spotlight Game: DeWitt vs Mason - Doubleheader

DeWitt swept Mason in a CAAC Red doubleheader Thursday, winning by the scores of 8-2 and 3-0.

Mason held a 2-0 lead after three innings in game one, scoring one run in the second on a DeWitt error and other in the third on a RBI single from 2017 Brandon Showers.

DeWitt tied the game in the bottom of the fourth on a two run double by 2018 Josh Robinson and then took the lead with a big sixth inning.

2017 Michael Stygles led off the sixth with a double and came around to score on a RBI single by 2017 Will Nagel. Robinson and 2018 Nolan Knauf each hit RBI doubles in the inning as DeWitt scored six runs to take a 8-2 lead.

Robinson went the distance for DeWitt in the win, striking out five in seven innings of work.

DeWitt struck early in game two, scoring two in the second and another run in the third, as the Panthers completed the sweep.

2018 Garrett Larner drove in two runs in the second with a double and Nagel completed the scoring in the third with a RBI single.

Nagel threw a complete game shutout to earn the win for DeWitt.
