PBR Michigan Assistant Scouting Director

PBR Michigan started up on April 10th, 2012 as seen here. Brent Alwine then took the reigns in Michigan to start 2014, later handing off the reigns to Jake Sabol with assistance from Aaron Wilson.

Now that Michigan is fully entrenched as a top PBR state, we look to continue our climb while continuing to provide top notch baseball coverage in Michigan.

Aaron, PBR Michigan Assistant Director of Scouting, along with Dylan Hefflinger, Michigan Editor in Chief/Regional Scout take a look back at the year in review and put together a list of the top stories for the year 2015.

Today we take a look at the Jeff Criswell.

Each day we will reveal the next story on the list. A hint for the next story are the words "Jones Brothers".

PBR Michigan's Top Stories for the Year 2015: Criswell the Buzz Around Town

Jeff CriswellDuring the summer of 2015 there was one buzz around town ... "have you seen the Criswell kid"?

Summer coaches, High School Coaches and College coaches all asked about this "Criswell kid"!

We first saw the 6-foot 2 righty in March of 2015 at the Lansing Open I.D. showcase.

At this event, Jeff Criswell sat 83-86 mph while flashing two developing pitches. His performance at the showcase earned him a spot on the prestigious Team Michigan at the 2015 Future Games.

At the Future Games Jeff emerged as the top RHP in the state of Michigan. In his two innings, he displayed great mound presence while commanding the zone with a loose arm that ran the fastball up into the high-80s with very little effort. To go along with his fastball, Criswell mixed in a sharp breaking curve and deceptive changeup.

Shortly after Future Games Jeff committed to University of Michigan, becoming the 3rd player in the talented class of 2017 to commit.
