PBR Spotlight Game: Chesaning 13, Perry 6

Jacob Gross of Chesaning opened up the scoring in the top of the first with a one out single up the middle. Perry answered back in the bottom of the second with a steal of home by Jeremy Houlroyd-Wilson. Colin Anderson scored right behind him on a passed ball to take a 2-1 lead into the third inning.

Chesaning tallied on three runs in the top of the third, scoring on an error by the shortstop, a bases loaded walk drawn by Michael Hafner and a two run missile to right-center off the bat of Robert Fulton to take a 5-2 lead.

Perry was held scoreless until the fourth when Houlroyd-Wilson stole home again followed by an RBI single by Tyler Lauer cutting the Perry deficit to 5-4

In the top of the sixth, Chesaning stretched the lead to 8-4 on a Drew Eastwood line drive followed by him stealing home.

The inning was capped off by a Jacob Gross RBI single.

Chesaning pulled away in the top of the seventh with a little small ball, scoring two runs on back-to-back bunts by Collin Rolfe and Drew Eastwood.

Isaiah Rodriguez followed that up by scoring on an error and Robert Fulton rounded off the scoring with a two-run single up the middle.

Perry made a late push in the bottom of the seventh with Bradley Cronk swiping home and a line drive single by Riley Winn. Chesaning would top Perry 13-6 in game 1.

Game 2 was suspended in the third inning due to darkness.

Gross got win on the mound in game one with eight strikeouts for Chesaning. He also collected two hits driving in three runs. Houlroyd-Wilson lead Perry offensively collecting three singles on the day.
