We would like to thank all who participated in PBR Michigan’s Preseason Underclass Showcase East. This was a great opportunity for 2016, '17 and '18 prospects to be put on college radars. Many players impressed during their individual workouts at the showcase. Below we have the complete statistical results from the event as well as the top performers across various different categories. 

In the coming weeks, we will be adding and updating profiles for each of the players in attendance, including complete analysis and video.

Andrew Burke, 2B/MIF, RHP, Cousino, 2017
Scouting Report: 5-foot-9, 155-pound prospect. ¾ arm action staying tall through his delivery. Fastball with arm-side run at 76-80 mph. 11/5 curveball near fastball arm speed at 65-67 mph. Curveball with arm side run at 71-72 mph. Soft hands and good footwork in the infield. Accurate arm throwing 71 mph across the infield. Ran a 4.50 home to first. Creates good separation with quick hands in a middle of the field approach. Bat speed registered at 75 mph.

Andrew Tokarz, LHP/1B, Eisenhower, 2017
Scouting Report: 6-foot, 180-pound prospect. ¾ arm slot with a projectable frame from the left side of the mound. Fastball has arm side run a 71-74 mph. Curveball with tight spin at 59-61 mph. Changeup was erratic in the strike zone with some sink at 66-70 mph.  Soft hands and good footwork at first base. Threw 66 mph across the infield. Ran a 5.00 home to first. Open stance with no stride, good weight transfer in a pull approach. Bat speed registered at 76 mph.

Brett Manis, LHP, Port Huron Northern, 2017
Scouting Report: 5-foot-11, 170-pound prospect. Athletic left handed pitcher with quick ¾ arm action, creates good deception in arm slot. Plus control of fastball with arm-side run at 75-82 mph. Slider has late break with tight spin at 68-69 mph. Split finger had good downward action at 67-68 mph. Changeup was 66-67 mph. Will be a prospect to follow and watch excel.

Bryan Ziolkowski, 2B/3B, Dakota, 2017
Scouting Report: 5-foot-10, 150-pound prospect. Soft hands with good footwork at shortstop. Threw 71 mph across the infield. Ran a 4.90 home to first. Quick hands in a compact swing at the plate in a middle to pull approach.  Bat speed registered at 77 mph.

Cade Martin, C/2B, Hartland, 2017
Scouting Report: 5-foot-9, 150-pound prospect. Soft hands with good range on the infield. Threw mph across the 69 infield. Moves to stick pitches well, quick reactions when blocking the baseball behind the plate. Pop time of 2.08-2.13. Ran a 4.70 home to first. Open to even stance, loose athletic hands in a middle approach.  Bat speed registered at 74 mph.

Connor Kin, 1B, Walled Lake Western, 2017
Scouting Report: 6-foot-5, 190-pound prospect. Good hands fielding the baseball at first, good footwork around the bag. Threw 71 mph across the infield. Ran a 4.60 home to first. Open stance with a toe tap stride, creates good leverage with strength in his bat at the plate. Bat speed registered at 78 mph.

Connor Matlock, RHP, Fowlerville, 2017
Scouting Report: 6-foot-5, 190-pound prospect. ¾ arm slot with long levers changing planes well with his pitches. Fastball was 74-75 on the arm-side of the plate. 11/5 curveball with gradual break at 59-62 mph. Changeup has good arm side run at 63-67 mph.

David Wright, 3B/RHP, Belleville, 2017
Scouting Report: 5-foot-8, 172-pound prospect. Low-¾ arm slot with average arm speed. Fastball had good arm-side run at 68-73 mph. Curveball with gradual break at 59-60 mph. Changeup with good run and sink at 62-65 mph. Soft hands with low arm slot throwing 66 mph across the infield. Ran a 4.80 home to first. Narrow stance with a flat bat path in a line drive approach. Bat speed registered at 74 mph.

Dominic Gallagher, OF, Cousino, 2017
Scouting Report: 5-foot-9, 173-pound prospect. Good actions moving to the baseball and solid glove in the outfield. Threw 75 mph from the outfield. Ran a 4.70 home to first. Closed off stance in a inside/out swing. Bat speed registered at 78 mph.

Evan Gugnacki, 3B/RHP, Cousino, 2017
Scouting Report: 6-foot, 205-pound prospect. Physical frame with a quick over-the-top arm action. Heavy fastball at 76-82 mph. 11/5 curveball with gradual break at 62-65 mph. Changeup near fastball arm speed at 69-71 mph. Soft hands with good length in his range on the infield. Threw 73 mph across the infield. Ran a 4.80 home to first. Closed off stance with some strength in his bat in a pull approach. Bat speed registered at 82 mph.

Gehrig Anglin, SS, St. Clair, 2017
Scouting Report: 6-foot-2, 180-pound prospect. Plus actions at shortstop with his footwork and glove, lanky build creates great length in his range laterally. Threw 70 mph across the infield. Ran a 4.60 home to first. His approach at the plate allows him to hit all fields with strength. Gets great separation and weight transfer through his swing. Bat speed registered at 75 mph.

Hunter DeLanoy, SS, Hartland, 2017
Scouting Report: 6-foot-1, 165-pound prospect. Showed good footwork with soft hands, fields ball deep. Accurate arm throwing 69 mph across the infield. Ran a 4.10 home to first. Upright stance with an open to even stride from the left side of the plate. Good bat path with some strength in his bat. Bat speed registered at 80 mph.

Jack Slavin, OF/3B, Hartland, 2017
Scouting Report: 5-foot-9, 180-pound prospect. Sold fundamentals with glove and footwork in the outfield. Long arm action throwing 83 mph from the outfield. Quick footwork with soft hands on the infield. Threw 72 mph across the infield. Ran a 4.10 home to first. Toe tap stride from the left side of the plate. Aggressive swing in a line drive approach. Bat speed registered at 79 mph.

Jacob Lico, OF/RHP, Dakota, 2017
Scouting Report: 5-foot-10, 185-pound prospect. High-¾ arm action, opens up front side in delivery. Fastball with arm-side run at 79-82 mph. Slider with a sweeping action at 63-66 mph. Changeup had good run at 63-68 mph. Good actions in the outfield with his footwork and glove. Accurate arm throwing 83 mph from the outfield. Ran a 4.40 home to first. Open to event stance with quick hands in a middle of the field approach. Bat speed registered at 88 mph.

Jacob Raymond, 2B/OF, Utica Eisenhower, 2017
Scouting Report: 5-foot-10, 155-pound prospect. Good feel in the outfield with his footwork and glove. Threw 78 mph from the outfield. Good body control with soft hands on the infield. Threw 70 mph across the infield. Ran a 4.70 home to first. Open to even stance with quick hands and a direct hand path to the baseball.  Bat speed registered at 78 mph.

Scouting Report: 6-foot, 170-pound prospect. Quick athletic ¾ arm action. Fastball with good control at 76-79 mph. Curveball with gradual break at 62-64 mph. Changeup with arm-side run at 68-71 mph. Split-finger with good downward sink at 64-65 mph. Good action with his footwork and glove on the infield. Threw 76 mph across the infield. Ran a 4.70 home to first. Quick hands with good bat path, barrels the ball up well. Bat speed registered at 82 mph.

James Rintala, RHP/OF, Churchill, 2017
Scouting Report: 6-foot, 160-pound prospect. Over-the-top arm action with good control of three pitches. Heavy fastball at 71-75 mph. Curveball with gradual break at 62-64 mph. Changeup with some sink at 68-71 mph. Good hands and footwork with an accurate arm throwing 77 mph from the outfield. Ran 4.50 home to first. Long stride with good separation in a middle of the field approach at the plate. Bat speed registered at 81 mph.

James Wuolukka, OF/2B, Dakota, 2017
Scouting Report: 5-foot-9, 135-pound prospect. Solid glove work in the outfield, clean transfers getting the ball quickly to the infield. Threw 67 mph from the outfield. Soft hands with a good approach to the baseball on the infield. Long arm action throwing 56 mph across the infield. Ran a 4.40 home to first. Open to open stride from the left side of the plate. Creates line drives in a pull approach. Bat speed registered at 70 mph.

Jared Lutsic, C, Grosse Ile, 2017
Scouting Report: 5-foot-9, 185-pound prospect. Sways to the baseball well in receiving stance, Quick athletic reactions in blocking the baseball. Pop time of 2.12-2.35. Ran a 4.10 home to first. Wide stance with a leg left stride, quick hands in line drive approach. Bat speed registered at 85 mph.

Jonathan Gillman, C/OF, Fenton, 2017
Scouting Report: 5-foot-10, 180-pound prospect. Good stance behind the plate with ability to stick pitches, blocks the baseball well. Pop time of 1.98-2.06. Good actions in the outfield with an accurate arm. Threw 69 mph from the outfield. Ran a 4.50 home to first. Closed off stance in an inside/out approach at the plate. Bat speed registered at 72 mph.

Justin Scheuer, C, Fraser, 2017
Scouting Report: 6-foot-3, 165-pound prospect. Narrow stance keeps the ball in the strike zone well receiving behind the plate. Moves well when blocking the baseball. Pop time of 2.07-2.12. Ran a 4.07 home to first. Narrow stance with a flat bat path from the right side. Open to even stance from the left side with some strength in a pull approach. Bat speed registered at 72 mph from the right side and 77 mph from the left side.

Kyle Bischoff, RHP/OF, Eisenhower, 2017
Scouting Report: 6-foot, 175-pound prospect. Quick, high-¾ arm slot in a crossfire landing. Shows good arm strength with fastball at 81-85 mph. 11/5 curveball with gradual break at 65-70 mph. Changeup with some sink at 72-74 mph. Clean actions with footwork and glove in the outfield. Threw 90 mph from the outfield. Creates good angles to the baseball with soft hands on the infield. Threw 82 mph across the infield. Ran a 4.63 home to first. Quick hands with pull approach in a slight uphill swing. Bat speed registered at 80 mph.

Matt Boutin, 3B/RHP, Dakota, 2017
Scouting Report: 6-foot-2, 165-pound prospect. High-¾ arm slot with a projectable frame from the right side. Fastball with late arm-side run at 79-82 mph. Sharp tight spin curveball at 67-71 mph. Changeup near fastball arm speed at 73-74 mph. Soft hands with a low arm slot throwing 69 mph across the infield. Ran a 4.50 home to first. Open to even toe tap stride, some strength in a pull approach at the plate. Bat speed registered at 82 mph.

Max Stevenson, SS/RHP, Utica Eisenhower, 2017
Scouting Report: 5-foot-10, 150-pound prospect. High-¾ arm slot with quick tempo in delivery. Plus command of fastball at 76-82 mph. 11/5 curveball with late break at 68- 70 mph. Changeup with arm-side run at 69-71 mph. Plus actions with footwork and glove at shortstop with excellent range. Threw 76 mph across the infield. Ran a 4.25 home to first. Toe tap stride with quick hands in a middle of the field approach. Bat speed registered at 83 mph.

Max Whalen, C/3B, Birmingham Groves, 2017
Scouting Report: 6-foot, 160-pound prospect. Sticks pitches well behind the plate with athletic actions blocking the baseball. Loose, whippy arm action for a pop time of 2.00-2.07. Soft hands creating excellent angles to the baseball, lanky body allows for good length laterally. Threw 70 mph across the infield. Ran a 4.60 home to first. Open to even stance, creates good leverage to the baseball with some strength in his bat. Bat speed registered at 78 mph.

Noah Gaydos, 2B/OF, Dakota, 2017
Scouting Report: 5-foot-7, 145-pound prospect. Good feel with footwork and glove in the outfield. Accurate arm throwing 55 mph from the outfield. Fields the ball deep with good range on the infield. Threw 64 mph across the infield. Ran a 4.50 home to first. Open to even stance, flat bat path in a pull approach. Bat speed registered at 71 mph.

Peyton Harding, C, St. Francis Cabrini, 2017
Scouting Report: 6-foot, 175-pound prospect. Creates a good frame to the throw to, sways well when receiving sticking pitches and keeping them in the strike zone. Pop time of 2.01-2.12. Ran a 4.60 home to first. Narrow stance with strength in his bat in a middle to pull approach. Bat speed registered at 82 mph.

Ryan Gladstone, C/OF, Rochester, 2017
Scouting Report: 5-foot-7, 182-pound prospect. Moves well side-to-side sticking pitches, gets his whole body in front the baseball when blocking. Quick transfers with clean footwork for pop times of 1.94-2.09. Good transfers with a solid glove in the outfield. Threw 79 mph from the outfield. Ran a 4.30 home to first. Closed off stance with good separation at the plate, some strength in his bat in a pull approach. Bat speed registered at 81 mph.

Scouting Report: 5-foot-11, 160-pound prospect. Showed smooth athletic actions at shortstop with his glove and footwork. Short quick arm action throwing 74 mph across the infield. Ran a 4.60 home to first. Loose athletic hands at the plate, gets good separation in a middle of the field approach. Bat speed registered at 82 mph.

Spencer Fiewig, OF/RHP, Carman Ainsworth, 2017
Scouting Report: 5-foot-11, 180-pound prospect. Long, high-¾ arm action wrapping on his backside. Fastball was 72-78 61-62 mph. 12/6 curveball was 56-60 mph. Changeup with some sink at 62-65 mph. Plus out pitch with sweeping slider at mph. Plus feel with footwork and glove in the outfield. Threw mph from the 76 outfield. Ran a 4.50 home to first.
