We would like to thank all who participated in PBR Michigan’s Preseason Underclass Showcase East. This was a great opportunity for 2016, '17 and '18 prospects to be put on college radars. Many players impressed during their individual workouts at the showcase. Below we have the complete statistical results from the event as well as the top performers across various different categories. 

In the coming weeks, we will be adding and updating profiles for each of the players in attendance, including complete analysis and video.

Scouting Report: 5-foot-9, 145-pound prospect. Quick athletic actions in the outfield, solid footwork and glove throwing 79 mph from the outfield. Ran a 4.10 home to first. Wide stance with a good bat path hitting the baseball to all fields. Bat speed registered at 75 mph.

Brian Bembas,OF/2B, West Bloomfield, 2018
Scouting Report: 5-foot-7, 135-pound prospect. Good actions with glove and footwork in the outfield. Threw 72 mph from the outfield with an accurate arm. Fields the baseball with soft hands on the infield. Threw 67 mph across the infield. Ran a 4.70 home to first. Open to even stance from the left side. Good bat path allowing him to hit the ball to all fields. Bat speed registered at 67 mph.

Chase Kapron, RHP/3B, Allmont, 2018
Scouting Report: 5-foot-11, 180-pound prospect. Over the top arm action from the right side of the mound. Fastball had cut action at 68-72 mph. 11/5 curveball with gradual break at 55-57 mph. Changeup with some sink at 64 mph. Soft hands on the infield with an accurate arm throwing 67 mph. Ran a 5.00 home to first. Toe tap stride with some strength in a slight uphill swing. Bat speed registered at 71 mph.

JD Allen, RHP/2B, Brother Rice, 2018
Scouting Report: 5-foot-7, 150-pound prospect. High-¾ arm action with repeatable mechanics. Plus control on fastball at 72-75 mph. 12/6 curveball at 64-65 mph. Changeup with arm side run at 65-68 mph. Fields the ball deep with good range on the infield. Threw 70 mph across the infield. Ran 4.70 home to first. Open to even stride, good separation in a middle of the field approach. Bat speed registered at 70 mph.

Josh Wyka, SS/C, Chippewa Valley, 2018
Scouting Report: 5-foot-9, 150-pound prospect. ¾ arm slot in a max effort delivery. Fastball was 68-71 mph, curveball with gradual break at 60-62 mph, and changeup with some sink at 63-65 mph. Upright stance behind the plate with good ability of sticking pitches in the strike zone. Pop time of 2.06-2.18. Soft hands with good range at shortstop. Threw 67 mph across the infield. Ran a 4.70 home to first. Quick hands with good separation in a middle of the field approach at the plate. Bat speed registered at 71 mph.

Nick Seidel, C/2B, West Bloomfield, 2018
Scouting Report: 5-foot-9, 145-pound prospect. ¾ arm slot with good arm speed. Fastball with some run at 72-74 mph. 11/5 curveball with gradual break at 60-63 mph. Changeup with arm-side run at 61-62 mph. Soft receiving skills behind the plate with good flexibility in his hips. Pop time of 1.94-2.03. Solid fundamentals with footwork and glove on the infield. Threw 67 mph across the infield. Ran a 5.00 home to first. No stride with a level bat path in a middle of the field approach. Bat speed registered at 72 mph.

Ryan Barber, SS/OF, Clarkston, 2018
Scouting Report: 5-foot-7, 130-pound prospect. Quick footwork with good glove control in the outfield. Threw 72 mph from the outfield. Soft hands with good range on the infield. Short arm action throwing 66 mph across the infield. Ran a 4.60 home to first. Crouched stance at the plate with a level bat path in a middle approach. Bat speed registered at 67 mph.

Ryan Knutson,C/3B, Notre Dame Prep, 2018
Scouting Report: 5-foot-8, 155-pound prospect. Wide setup behind the plate swaying well to receive the baseball. Gets whole body in front of the baseball when blocking. Clean transfers for a pop time of 2.18-2.25. Soft hands on the infield. Short arm action throwing 68 mph across the infield. Ran a 4.60 home to first. Good separation with quick hands in a middle approach at the plate. Bat speed registered at 74 mph.

Steven Berezowsky, SS/RHP, DeLaSalle, 2018
Scouting Report: 5-foot-8, 125-pound prospect. ¾ arm action with clean mechanics. Good control of fastball at 71-75 mph. 11/5 curveball with gradual break at 66-67 mph. Changeup with some sink at 61-66 mph. Soft hands with good footwork creating excellent angles to the baseball at shortstop. Threw 73 mph across the infield. Ran a 4.90 home to first. Narrow stance in a middle to opposite field approach, excellent plate discipline. Bat speed registered at 69 mph.
