Ann Arbor Pioneer's RHP/1B James Strickland put on a show last night as he led his team to victory in game two of their doubleheader with Saline. After the Pioneers lost the first game 4-3 in a back-and-forth affair, Strickland was poised to answer the call for his team at the mound and plate in game two. Strickland's fastball ranged from 82-86 mph, and he threw his breaking ball consistently at 74-76 while going the distance and striking out six. At the plate, Strickland added five hits and three RBIs to his season totals.
Saline's senior leader Justin Goike added two hits in game two as well.
Pioneer will face Adrian on Thursday while Saline will see Southgate Anderson in a non-conference matchup.
