PBR: Why did you choose Concordia-St. Paul?
MCBROOM: I chose Concordia-St. Paul because I liked the coaches and I liked how small the campus was and it's not too far from home.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?
MCBROOM: I was considering St. Mary's in Winona and Century College.

PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you? How did your relationship develop with them?
MCBROOM: They first saw me at the Junior showcase but I was late to register so they didn't have my information until they saw my video from the PBR Unsigned Senior showcase.

PBR: Do you feel relieved now that the process is over and you can just focus on baseball and not deal with everything that goes into picking a school?
MCBROOM: Yes I feel relieved that I have decided what school I'm going to. It's nice that's it's off my shoulders now and that I can focus on the upcoming season instead of worrying about where I'd be going to college.

PBR: Was there one deciding factor that put your choice over the top?
MCBROOM: The size of the school I really liked and that helped; but the scholarship that they offered me helped me make my decision a lot easier.

PBR: Who has helped you the most to get to where you are today?
MCBROOM: My dad for pushing me to be the best I can be. Coach Stier for helping with offseason workouts pushing me extra hard because he knew I had it in me even when I didn't; and just giving me confidence on the mound. And having another D2 pitcher in Dalton Grose in front of me; so that way I couldn't slack off and had to work as hard as him if not harder.

PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process? Was it easy/difficult?
MCBROOM: I didn't know what to expect during the recruitment process. Thought it was pretty easy! It was definitely easier than I expected.

PBR: What is your most memorable baseball moment to date?
MCBROOM: My most memorable baseball moment was during my Junior year when we played Faribault BA for the conference championship and I came in during the 4th inning and pitching the rest of the game which went 11 innings and only giving up 1 hit with 11 strikeouts and we won the conference title for the second straight year

PBR: Who is the best player that you have competed against?
MCBROOM: On our team it was our Ace, Dalton Grose, because he was going to Crookston and I competed to be better than he was every day in practice so our team could have basically two aces on the team; but for the best player I've competed against, it’s probably Kollin Hanson from BA. He is a very good hitter with a very smooth swing
