PBR: Why did you choose Concordia-St. Paul?
DEGRAMMONT: I chose Concordia-St Paul because of the amazing coaching staff, I will be getting a great education and they offer my intended major of Sports Psychology. It is close to home and it was an overall great fit.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?
DEGRAMMONT: I was considering SMSU, Nebraska-Omaha, St. Thomas and some other Division 2 schools.

PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you? How did your relationship develop with them?
DEGRAMMONT: The coaching staff saw me play in the Siebert Fall League and some other local games. The relationship started over the phone and then the relationship took off from there.

PBR: Do you feel relieved now that the process is over and you can just focus on baseball and not deal with everything that goes into picking a school?
DEGRAMMONT: I am extremely relieved that the process is over, it was definitely a stressful but exciting time. It will be nice to just focus on school and bettering myself.

PBR: Was there one deciding factor that put your choice over the top?
DEGRAMMONT: There was not one specific factor; all the factors were great.

PBR: Who has helped you the most to get to where you are today?
DEGRAMMONT: Harvey Martin, pitching coordinator at Minnesota Mash. He has overall changed me as a person. I would also like to thank my Dad and Mom for their consistent love and support to get me to where I am today. All of the Minnesota Mash coaches have had the most impact and I wouldn't be here without them. Justin Musil with Elite Sports Advising has helped me a ton as well.

PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process? Was it easy/difficult?
DEGRAMMONT: I really didn't know what to expect honestly but Justin Musil helped me a ton with the process and helped me get through it.

PBR: What plans does the coaching staff have in store for you in your freshman season?
DEGRAMMONT: I plan on going in freshman year and earning a spot anywhere in the pitching staff.

PBR: What is your most memorable baseball moment to date?
DEGRAMMONT: Best baseball moment was in last year’s State baseball tournament, I pitched in the quarterfinals against Maple Grove. I came in relief and ended up pitching 5 and 1/3 innings with 10 strikeouts. Helped us win and ball game and make it one more game closer to winning a state title.

PBR: Who is the best player that you have competed against?
DEGRAMMONT: The best player I have played against was Randy Bednar, he plays with MSI Bubba, and I faced him in Georgia at a tournament.
