The PBR MN Prospect I.D.- Minnetonka event took place on Wednesday, July 5, 2017. The event was held at Veteran's Field at Minnetonka High School in Minnetonka, MN. The event featured prospects from the 2019 and 2020 classes who showcased their talents in front of our scouting staff.

Blake Ask, RHP/2B, Wayzata, 2019
5-foot-11, 170-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. 7.41 runner. Balanced stance, bottoms out through contact, head changes planes, flat bat path, shows strength in swing, hard gap to gap contact, 75 mph exit velocity. Nick Azar, 2B, Edina, 2018

Shows soft hands with sure glove in field, average range laterally, accurate arm to bag with longer arm action. 78 mph arm strength across infield. Controlled delivery on mound, tends to swing front leg to landing point, 2 piece arm action, follows through to plate. Fastball had sinking action with flashes of run at 75-77 mph; touching 78 mph. Curveball was 62-64 mph with inconsistent 12/6 shape. Has fade and arm-side on changeup at 68-70 mph.
