PBR: Why did you choose the University of Oklahoma?
CRIQUET-DANIELSON: I really liked the feel of the campus and the college as a whole. I loved the coaching staff and what they had to offer. The atmosphere made it feel a lot like home and it will be fun to join my teammate Michael Jensen and fellow Minnesotan Jake Irvin. Another determining factor was climate, to be able to work-out and train outdoors year-round.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?
CRIQUET-DANIELSON: I received interest from many schools around the country. The ones I gave serious consideration to were:  Pepperdine, Arizona, Northwestern, Central Michigan, Michigan, Washington, Brown, Columbia, George Washington, Villanova, Kentucky, and Baylor among others.

PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you? How did your relationship develop with them?
CRIQUET-DANIELSON: They first saw me at a PG tournament in Ft. Myers in October. From there we just kept in touch weekly, he came to MN for a day to watch me workout, and then we planned a visit.

PBR: Do you feel relieved now that the process is over and you can just focus on baseball and not deal with everything that goes into picking a school?
CRIQUET-DANIELSON: Yes, the process got a little overwhelming at times while having to communicate with so many coaches. It is a good feeling to be able to focus on school and be able to just worry about what I need to continue working on for baseball.

PBR: Was there one deciding factor that put your choice over the top?
CRIQUET-DANIELSON: The biggest factor in my decision was the level of competition I would get playing in the Big 12 Conference. I also felt comfortable with the coaching staff.

PBR: Who has helped you the most to get to where you are today?
CRIQUET-DANIELSON: My parents have helped me the most to get me where I am today. They have taught me many life lessons and gave me tips to help me make my decision. They support me in everything I do and I’m thankful for them. Justin Musil and Coach Adam Barta with the MN Blizzard have also helped me out a lot. Barta and his staff played a big role in my development, and provided me the opportunity to get the exposure I needed to be seen by so many colleges. Justin Musil helped me by consulting with me and answering questions I had regarding the recruiting process.

PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process? Was it easy/difficult?
CRIQUET-DANIELSON: It was not as difficult as I was expecting it would be to garner a wide variety of interest.  However, I wasn't expecting it to happen so fast. All the interest I received from the various schools came all at once and was overwhelming at times. The most difficult part was trying to fit visits into my busy schedule while having to balance school work and my other activities and commitments. I was fortunate to have so many good options, which made the final decision very difficult.

PBR: What plans does the coaching staff have in store for you in your freshman season?
CRIQUET-DANIELSON: The coaching staff expects for me to be a contributor my freshmen year. However, I will need to keep working hard and continue developing over the next couple of years in order to ensure I am ready to play as a freshman.

PBR: What is your most memorable baseball moment to date?
CRIQUET-DANIELSON: Making the 2015 State Baseball Tournament last year for the first time in 10 years for our high school.

PBR: Who is the best player that you have competed against?
CRIQUET-DANIELSON: Best pitcher I've faced would have to be Charlie “Bubba” Horton. His fastball has a lot of movement and he has a nasty change-up. Best position player would have to be Eddie Estrada. Eddie has such a nice swing and is a beast when it comes to hitting.
