Nick Herold

Name: Nick Herold
Position: RHP
Class: 2017
Height/Weight: 6-foot-3, 200-pounds
High School: Coon Rapids
PBR MN Rank: #69 in MN 2017 Rankings

Evaluation:  8/20/16- 6-foot-3, 200-pound right-handed pitcher. Previously unknown to the PBR staff. Taller build, lean upper half, present size and strength in legs, baby faced, very projectable arm. Slight tuck and turn with body control. Long loose arm action with above avg. extension to plate. Herold oozes potential as he continues to mature and develop. Shows late run and sink on fastball at 82-84 mph. Has feel for 12/6 curveball, solid velocity and spin, at 73-74 mph. Late run and sink on changeup, thrown with good arm action, at 73-75 mph. Herold will enter the MN 2017 Rankings and is a pitcher that should garner serious consideration from many colleges.

HEROLD: Nothing in particular; I'm still thinking about what I want to major in.

PBR: What were some of the highlights of your junior year?
HEROLD: My first varsity start was a big highlight for me and also playing on the legion team was fun, I learned a lot this summer.

PBR: What are your goals for this year?
HEROLD: I try not to have personal goals- just team goals. Going to state would obviously be really cool but as long as everyone plays to their top potential it should be a fun season.
