As we prepare for the upcoming 2015 high school season, we will be taking a preseason glimpse at programs from around the state.

OUTLOOK
The Bluejays could be special in 2015.  They return 6 of their top 7 batters and their ace pitcher, Chris Amtower.  Amtower went 5-1 during the summer season for Clever with 0.54 ERA, with his only loss coming at the hands of Helias, 1-0.  6-foot-2 215-pound junior, Tyler Edwards will be the power threat and run producer in the middle of the order.  The Bluejays will have a nice mix of seniors in the line up as well, led by Missouri Valley recruit Gunner Curtis. Senior Tatum Maples will be an impact player at shortstop and on the mound. Look for sophomore Spencer Flatt to have a break out season.  He will have one of the best curveballs in the conference and is showing improvements in velocity over the winter.  The SWCL is going to be competitive this spring, and in order for Clever to get beyond districts, they will have to get past #2 ranked Forsyth.  Clever has all the pieces to make 2015 a special season.
