OUTLOOK
Clinton finished the 2014 season with a 21-7 record overall and an 8-2 record in the West Central Conference.  The Cardinals return five starters on the mound and five returning position players and are geared up for a run into the state playoffs.  Senior Dillon Richardson will be used primarily as a shortstop, but could see time on the mound as well.  The Lindenwood recruit, runs a sub-7 60 and has positional velo of 85 mph, and will be one of the top players in Missouri Class 4.  Clinton will also feature a quartet of other seniors. Ian McWilliams is a 5-foot-160-pound utility player with fluid actions on the infield and a 74 mph positional velo.  Lane Miller is a 6-foot-2 210-pound catcher with a clean exchange and pop-times ranging form 2.09 to 2.53.  Jordan Hall and Christian Jones will round out the infield and also see time on the mound.  The Cardinals will have a pair of juniors in the outfield with Trent Lankford and Gehrig Taylor, and will call on lefty sophomore Trey Miller to play a key role on the mound and in the outfield.  The Clinton Cardinals will look to repeat as District Champions again in 2015 and a statement in the state playoffs.
