As we prepare for the upcoming 2016 high school season, we will be taking a preseason glimpse at programs from around the state.

Season Outlook
The Jaguars return 11 seniors from last years team, making the 2016 squad very experienced. Kansas State recruit, Tyler McKay, will lead the way for the Jaguars.  He is a 6-foot-4 right-handed pitcher with loose arm action and a fastball in the upper 80's.  McKay will also get time on the infield and will be a big part of the line-up.  Seniors Tyson Cushman and Tyler Pittman each received post season accolades in 2015, and look to lead the Jags back to the state playoffs.  Senior RHP/1B Tyler Clark has the potential to eat up quality innings on the mound.  He also give Blue Springs South a power bat in the middle of the line-up.  The Jags will also rely on the experience of senior RHP/OF Jake Lamb this spring.  Look for Lamb to called on to pitch in tough spots.  Blue Springs South is no stranger to post season baseball in Class 5.  Their experience, senior leadership and talent could take them a long way late in the season.  They open the season ranked number seven in the MHSBCA preseason poll.
