Season Outlook
In 2015, the Waynesville Tigers won their second district title in school history and first district title in 38 years.  It took the defending state champion to knock them out of the state playoffs.  In 2016, the Tigers return eight starting position players and three starting pitchers, as they look to keep the success going this spring. Four returners earned All-District honors last season, led by 1st Team All-District INF/RHP Ryan Pendleton.  Pendleton is an athletic infielder with good arm strength on some pop in the bat. Senior Trey Simpson is a versatile player, earning 2nd Team All-District honors as a pitcher and has the ability to switch hit.  Seth Hedrick, a senior CF/RHP will also provide leadership and experience.  He earned 2nd Team All-District honors last season. Waynesville will also have standout sophomore Ethan Gazmeyer behind the plate this season. The Tigers have dedicated themselves to their off-season programs to keep the success of the 2015 going. They will be an exciting team to watch this spring with the goals of building on last year's success.
