preseason glimpse at programs from around the state.

SEASON OUTLOOK
In 2016, the Purdy Eagles set a school record with 23 wins and finished ranked in Class 2.  After losing in the state quarterfinals, the Eagles put together a good fall and are now looking forward to spring and building on their previous successes.  The Eagles will return four pitchers that saw over 20 varsity innings last spring, and had a team ERA of 2.17 this fall.  Senior RHP Ricky Aldaba will staff's ace, going 8-1 last spring and was named Honorable Mention All State last spring.  Junior 3B Adam Humphrey bit at a .440 clip this fall with 18 RBI, while junior Hunter Cook looks to be the foundation point for the defense committing only five errors in 17 games.  Senior OF James Hughlett will be the only returning outfielder on the roster, a position that he has anchored since his sophomore year.  If the staff stays healthy the Eagles could be a dangerous team in Class 2 one district play starts.
