Prep Baseball Report-Missouri held the Class of 2017 Games at Saint Louis University on June 7.  The event featured nearly 50 players from across the Show-Me State in the 2017 class. 

 Profiles have been updated with times, velos, profile pictures and videos.  We will break down the event positon-by-position, taking a look at the outfielder's performances today.  Although some outfielders may have worked out in other positions, this is just a look at their performance behind the plate.  Players are listed in alphabetical order.

Outfielders

Hayden Bradford, Lee’s Summit North, 2017
Bradford is a 6-foot 165-pound right-handed hitting outfielder from Lee’s Summit North HS in the Kansas City area. He ran a 6.70 60, one of the top 60 times of the day, and got down the line in 4.40-seconds, one of the top RHH times of the day.  He has an 81 mph exit velo. At the plate, balanced set up, short in line stride, some hand load, middle to pull approach, level path to extension, singled through the right side in game action.  In the outfield, 77 mph positional velo, high three quarters release, crow hop, clean transfer, mostly accurate throws.

Collin Breckner, Fair Grove, 2017
Breckner is a 6-foot-2 160-pound left-handed hitting outfielder from Fair Grove HS in Southwest Missouri.  He ran a 6.87 60 and ran a 4.22 home-to-firs, one of the LHH times of the event.  He has an exit velo of 91 mph, one of the top for the event. At the plate, thin and open set up, controlled leg kick, swing produced pull side line drives during batting practice, balanced finish, singled through the right side in game action.  In the outfield, 80 mph positional velo, plays through the catch, high three quarters release, clean exchange, loose arm action, mostly accurate throws.

Braden Cox, Scott City, 2017
Cox is a 6-foot-2 205-pound right-handed hitting outfielder from Scott City HS in Southeast Missouri.  He ran a 7.20 60 and ran a 4.91 home-to-first. He has an exit velo of 88 mph, one of the top for the event. At the plate, has power to pull gap, looseness in hands, smooth load into back side, in line stride, quick bat speed, showed power with a double to left-center in game action.  In the outfield, over the top release, works behind the ball and through the catch, loose arm action, throws downhill, mostly accurate throws, 88 mph positional velo.

Conor Dryer, Rockwood Summit, 2017
Dryer is a 6-foot-3 175-pound left-handed hitting outfielder from Rockwood Summit HS in the St. Louis area.  He ran a 6.75 60, one of the top 60 times of the day, and a 4.51 home-to-first.  He has an exit velo of 83 mph. At the plate, open stance, no wasted movement, solid contact to middle of the field during batting practice, hands work inside ball, short path to contact.  In the outfield, over the top arm slot, 91 mph positional velo, top outfield velo for the event. crow hop, loose arm action, fluid transfer with momentum though the throw, accurate throws.

Tyler Eckman, Fort Zumwalt West, 2017
Eckman is a 5-foot-10 175-pound right-handed hitting outfielder from Fort Zumwalt West HS in the St. Louis area.  He ran a 7.27 60 and a 4.81 home-to-first.  He has an 86 mph exit velo. At the plate, starts with a thin stance, in line stride, level path to extension, showed some pop to pull side.  In the outfield, 78 mph positional velo, high three quarters arm slot, clean transfer and throw, work behind the ball and through the catch.

Caleb Ensminger, Webb City, 2017
Esminger is a 6-foot-3 175-pound right-handed hitting outfielder from Webb City HS in southwest Missouri.   He ran a 7.19 60 and a 4.64 home-to-first.  He has an 84 mph exit velo. At the plate, open stance, controlled leg lift to stride, short path to ball, level to extension, swing produced middle to pull line drives during batting practice.  Defensively, 84 mph positional velo in the outfield, one of the top velos from the outfield for the event, over the top release, fluid footwork and clean exchange,

Jake Evans, Park Hill South, 2017
Evans is a 6-foot-1 200-pound right-handed hitting outfielder from Park Hill South HS in the Kansas City area.  He ran a 7.21 60 and a 4.84 home-to-first.  He has an 89 mph exit velo, one of the top for the event.  At the plate, thin stance with controlled leg lift, loose hands, middle to pull approach, body under control during swing, squared up a ball to left field for a double in game action.  In the outfield, 83 mph positional velo, one of the top outfield velos for the event, loose over the top arm action, quick glove to hand transfer and release, momentum through the catch, mostly accurate throws.

Daulton Freeman, Winnetonka, 2017
Freeman is a 6-foot-2 175-pound right-handed hitting outfielder from Winnetonka HS in the Kansas City area.  He ran a 7.06 60 and a 4.53 home-to-first.  He has an 84 mph exit velo. At the plate, made solid contact during batting practice, middle to pull approach, athletic stance, leg lift to stride, singled to left and had a line drive single to center in game action. In the outfield, 81 mph positional velo, over the top release, efficient route to ball, plays through the catch, mostly accurate throws.

Milton Green, Crossroads, 2017
Green is a 5-foot-8 140-pound right-handed hitting outfielder from Crossroads HS in the St. Louis Area.  He ran a 6.89 60, one of the top 60 times of the day, and a 4.20 home-to-first, top RHH time of the event.  His exit velo was 76 mph. At the plate, no wasted movement to load, short stride, hands work inside ball, used whole field during batting practice, solid contact.  In the outfield, 76 mph positional velo, over the top release, quick catch and throw, creates direction to the target after throw, quick feet, soft hands.

Anthony Hansen, Hickman, 2017
Hansen is a 6-foot-1 200-pound left-handed hitting outfielder from Hickman HS in Columbia.  He ran a 7.09 60 and a 4.44-second home-to-first, one of the top LHH times of the day..  He posted a 95 mph exit velo, top LHH velo on the day.  At the plate, balanced stance with smooth load into back side, accelerated hands, quick bat path, middle to pull side line drives. In the outfield, high three quarters release, 82 mph positional velo, loose arm action, plays through the ball, aggressive to the ball.

Andrew Jones, Parkway North, 2017
Jones is an athletic 6-foot 175-pound left-handed hitting outfielder from Parkway North in the St. Louis area.  He ran a 6.56 60, the fastest 60 time of the day, and a 4.20 home-to-first, top LHH time of the event.  His exit velo was 83 mph. At the plate, made consistent solid contact during practice, pull side approach, repeatable swing, short stride, some hand load, double in game action.  In the outfield, high three quarters release, works behind ball, quick catch and throw, athletic footwork, 74 mph positional velo, mostly accurate throws.

Wyatt Lalumandier, Ste. Genevieve, 2017
Lalumandier is a 5-foot-10 175-pound left-handed hitting outfielder from Ste. Genevieve in southeast Missouri.  He ran a 6.89 60, one of the top 60 times of the day, and a 4.78 home-to-first.  He has an 84 mph exit velo.  At the plate, showed some power to pull gap in batting practice, no wasted movement in load, short stride, level through the zone, short path to contact, showed feel for the barrel with single in the hole during game action. In the outfield, has an 83 mph positional velo, one of the top for the event, moves well to the ball, creates momentum through the catch, over the top release, crow hop with fluid exchange and release, somewhat accurate throws.

Ben Mattes, Liberty North, 2017
Mattes is a lean 6-foot-3 185-pound right-handed hitting outfielder from Liberty North HS in the Kansas City area.  He ran a 6.94 60, one of the top 60 times of the day, and a 4.50 home-to-first.  He has an exit velo of 92 mph, one of the top RHH velos on the day. At the plate, thin stance, hands work inside ball, middle to oppo line drive drives in batting practice, solid consistent contact.  In the outfield, 82 mph positional velo, loose high three quarters release, plays through the ball, quick footwork and quick catch and throws, mostly accurate throws, has room to fill out physically. 

Jamie Mitchell, Blue Valley (KS), 2017
Mitchell is a 6-foot-1 185-pound left-handed hitting outfielder from Blue Valley HS in Overland Park, Kansas.  He ran a 6.63 60, one of the top 60 times on the day, and a 4.44 home-to-first, one of the top LHH times of the event.  His exit velo was 89 mph, one of the top for the event. At the plate, thin set-up, controlled leg lift, middle to pull side line drives during batting practice.  In the outfield, has an 87 mph positional velo, one of the top for the event, over the top release, clean transfer with quick release, throws have carry, mostly accurate. 

Carter Mize, Fort Zumwalt West, 2017
Mize is a 6-foot-2 169-pound left-handed hitting outfielder from Fort Zumwalt West in the St. Louis area.  He ran a 7.50 60 and a 4.46 home-to-first, one of the top LHH times of the event.  He has an exit velo of 81 mph.  At the plate, athletic set up, minimal load, loose hands, path is flat throught he zone, hard and solid contact during batting practice.  In the outfield, 79 mph positional velo, loose over the top arm action, arm works, momentum through catch, quick catch and throw, fluid footwork, mostly accurate throws.

Brett Palmer, Park Hill South, 2017
Palmer is a 6-foot 175-pound left-handed hitting outfielder from Park Hill South in the Kansas City area.  He ran a 6.96 60, one of the top 60 times of the day, and a 4.65 home-to-first.  He posted an 88 mph exit velo, one of the top LHH velos on the day. At the plate, has an 88 mph positional velo, one of the top for the event, middle to pull approach, open stance, tall set up, body under control during swing. Singled to right field in game action.  In the outfield, has an 87 mph positional velo, one of the top for the event, over the top arm slot, arm works, creates momentum through the catch, quick feet with fluid transfer. 

Grant Schoen, Springfield Catholic, 2017
Schoen is a 6-foot-2 200-pound righ-handed hitting outfielder from Springfield Catholic in Springfield.  He ran a 7.22 60 and a 4.63 home-to-first.  He has an 86 mph exit velo. At the plate, open stance, in line stride, attacks ball, aggressive swing, pull side line drives.  In the outfield, high three quarters release, works behind ball, throws have carry, 78 mph positional velo, accurate.

Jared Zbinden, Rienour, 2017
Zbinden is a 5-foot-11 160-pound left-handed hitting outfielder from Ritenour HS in the St. Louis Area. He ran a 6.96 60, one of the top 60 times of the day, and a 4.46 home-to-first, one of the top LHH times of the event. He has a 73 mph exit velo. At the plate, slightly open stance, controlled leg kick, level path through the zone, some hand load, pull side line drives, collected a pair of singles in game action.  In the outfield, over the top release, plays through ball, accurate throws, 78 mph, throws have backspin carry.
