Class 5

#6 Liberty North 2, Kearney 1
Connor Simpson got Liberty North on the board in the first inning after he singled and scored, but Kearney's Gassman tied the game in the top of the fourth when he walked and scored.  The game remained tied until the 11th when Liberty North loaded the bases when Wisdom Ojigoh was hit by a pitch scoring Brian Sharp to win the game.  Liberty North collected nine hits in the game, including three from Brian Sharp and two from Collin Flanagan.  Paul Sherwood earned the win working five innings and recording five strikeouts.   Andrew Vogelbaugh tossed the first six innings allowing one run on four hits.

Liberty 6, St. Joseph Central 5
Liberty jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the third inning when Brady Newland hit a two-run double to right. St. Joseph Central's Hill singled and scored in the bottom of the fifth to cut the Blue Jay lead to 5-3. Liberty's Jason Volkemann's RBI single in the top of the sixth game Liberty a 6-3 lead, but Nick Gutzmer answered in the bottom of the inning with a single that plated two runs making the score 6-5.  Josh Maple worked a 1-2-3 inning for the Blue Jays in the 7th to get the save.  Ethan Griswald earned the win for Liberty, working five innings giving up five runs on four hits and striking out seven.  Joe Tieman went the distance for Central, allowing, eight hits and striking out four.  Gutzmer finished the game with a game-high four RBI for Central. 

Webb City 8, Nevada 2
Cade Crouch hit a solo home run to lead Webb City past Nevada 8-2. Webb City's Andrew Greek went 3-for-3 with a walk and Crouch earned the win pitching into the seventh inning collecting four strikouts and allowing two runs on four hits.

Grandview 11, Chrisman 10
Cameron Dean went 4-for-5 with two doubles, three RBI and three runs scored in the Grandview win.  Darrian Aldridge scored three runs of his own and Joshua Rand added three RBI to help the Bulldogs.  Brennan Lewis got the win for Grandview.

Keaton Graf tossed 6.1 innings allowing one run on three hits and recorded 13 strikeouts in a 6-1 win over Wellington.  Gavin Bargfrede was 1-for-2 with a pair of RBI and runs scored for Sante Fe.
