Class 5

#10 Rockhurst 1, #1 Liberty North 0
Jon Wemhoff silenced the red hot bats of Liberty North and out dueled Tyler Funk to earn a 1-0 win over Liberty North. Wemhoff struck out two over seven innings and allowed just one hit for the Hawklets.  Tyler Funk was equally impressive allowing no earned runs on just three hits with three strikeouts in six innings. Brian Sharp picked up Liberty North's only hit with a single in the fourth inning.  Vince Saladino walked and scored on an error in the second, which proved to be the game winner.  Jack Benninghoff went 2-for-3 with a stolen base for Rockhurst. 

#2 Parkway South 6, Fox 4
The Patriots broke the tie with three runs in the top of the seventh inning. Dillon Jones tossed a complete game for Parkway South allowing three earned runs while striking out six. Ian Cassidy went 2-for-4 with a double, triple, three RBI, and a run scored. Adam Dalton went 3-for-3 with two runs scored. Nick Sprague and Adam Mundle both had multi-hit games for Parkway South.

#3 Lee's Summit West 4, Park Hill 1
Lee's Summit West rallied for three runs in the second inning and made the most of five hits to get past Park Hill 4-1.

Lee's Summit 4, #4 Blue Springs South 3
Clint Jennings hit a pair of doubles, scored one and knocked in another in a 4-3 win over Blue Springs South.  Ryan Laddish earned the win giving up just one earned run and scattering six hits in four innings of work.  Reece Eddins got the loss striking out six batters in five innings.  He allowed three earned runs on nine hits.  Conner Davis worked two innings, not allowing a run, and striking out one for the Jaguars.  Both, Eddins and Patrick Lemberger had three hits, Lemberger with a pair of RBI. 

SLUH 2, #5 CBC 1
SLUH scratched out a a run in the top of the eighth to grab a 2-1 win over CBC. John Brinkman gave up just five hits and one earned run over 6.2 innings for SLUH.  Luke Robinson came on in relief  to earn the win.  Matt Vierling went five innings giving up one earned run on one hit with three strikeouts and four walks for CBC.

#8 Kickapoo 9, Camdenton 7
Kickapoo rallied for seven runs on seven hits in the top of the seventh in a comeback win over Camdenton 9-7.  Tristan Stevens went 4-for-5 on the day for Kickapoo, while Danny Crews and Alex Kellogg each picked up two hits.  Joey Humphrey tallied five strikeouts in 2.2 innings and Crews added for strikeouts in 3.1 innings for the Chiefs.  Parker Stidham tripled and drove in three runs, while Jordan Webster and Brady Kempf had two hits apiece. 

#9 Nixa 9, Neosho 0
Nixa's Tristan Ridenour turned in 3-for-3 day scoring a pair of runs, while Jacob Karlson went 2-for-3 with a double to help Nixa to a 9-0 win over Neosho. Grayson Scott earned the complete-game shut-out win scattering six hits and allowing four walks with a strike out.  Colton Marion went 3-for-4 for Neosho.

#3 Logan Rogersville 10, Ava 0
The Wildcats stormed Ava for six runs in the bottom of the first inning and coasted to victory. Brett Denney earns the win by tossing six innings allowing only two hits and racking up seven strikeouts. Jordan Fitzpatrick went 2-for-4 with a run scored. Tyler Chritton homered for Logan-Rogersville. Connor Pomering went 1-for-2 with a double, walk, and four RBI.

Class 3

#1 Springfield Catholic 9, Parkview 1
A tough battle until the top of the seventh, when the Fighting Irish posted six runs. Ryan Haller goes the distance for Springfield Catholic. He allowed only three hits while striking out eight. Hunter Steinmetz had two of the three hits for Parkview, including a solo homerun. Brayton Ballenger, Eric Atwell, and Tyler Ast all had multi-hit games for the Fighting Irish.


#8 Forsyth 12, Hollister 3
Forsyth improves to 11 and 5 with a deciding win over Hollister. Layn Hurst picks up the win by tossing six innings scattering seven hits and striking out five. Hurst also 1-for-4 at the plate with one RBI and a pair of runs scored. Jay Kaufman went 2-for-3 with a double, two walks, and three runs scored. Justin Burrow and Ethan Haile also had multi-hit games for Forsyth.

Greenville 3, South Iron 0
Trynton Tompkins recored 13 strikeouts in a complete game shut out over South Iron.  He had four strikeouts and three walks.  At the plate, Tompkins went 2-for-3 and is hitting .362 this spring.
