Games for Monday, May 4

Class 5

#4 Blue Springs South 4, #6 Liberty 3
Blue Springs South got a home run and two RBI from Colton Pouge to lead the Jaguars past Liberty 4-1.  Cale Benson and Patrick Lemberger tacked on two hits each for Blue Springs South.  Caleb Humphreys went 5.1 allowing two runs on three hits with three strikeouts and a walk.  Conner Davis earned the win working 1.2 innigs in relief.  Ryan Fisher went 2-for-4 with a double for Liberty, and Tyler Burrow got the tough loss surrendering two earned runs on seven hits with three strikeouts and a walk in six innings.   

#9 Nixa 10, #8 Kickapoo 1
Nixa scored 10 runs on 10 hits, led by Tristan Ridenour with a 2-for-4, five RBI night.  Andrew Dunlop drove in a pair of runs, while Scott Minehardt and Jacob Karlson each at two hits for Nixa. Jacob Ruder went 5.1 innings to earn the win allowing one earned on five hits, with two strikeouts and a walk.    Hunter Kniepfel went 2-for-4 for Kickapoo and Tristan Stevens drove in the only Chiefs run. 

Raymore-Peculiar 2, Belton 1

Ray-Pec took the lead in the top of the sixth inning and held for the win. Ben Harris earned the win for the Panthers. He tossed 6 1/3 innings scattering four hits and racking up five strikeouts. Evan Rathburn came on for the save in the seventh. Nate Brown gets tagged with the tough luck loss for Belton. The Pirates’ pitcher chucked all seven innings allowing only two earned runs while striking out six. Chase Graf went 1-for-3 including a big RBI double in the sixth and scoring the winning run. Andrew Houston and Josh Scribner both had multi-hit games for the Panthers.

Waynesville 3, St. James 0
Trent Simpson took a no hitter into the seventh and finished with one hit and five strikeouts in six innings of work.

Kearney 7, Grandview 2
The battle of the Bulldogs goes to Kearney. Kole Watson picked up the win throwing four innings allowing one earned run and striking out six. Jess Davis was 1-for-2 with a walk, stolen base, and a pair of runs scored. Grandview’s Cameron Dean went 2-for-3 with a double, stolen base, and a run scored.

Lafayette 11, Mehlville 1
Pete Williams pitched complete game with seven strike outs and went 2 for 3 with solo homer and four RBIs for Lafayette. Nick Oliff won the game with a walk off double in the fifth inning.

Kennett never trailed after scoring four runs in the top of the first inning. Kevonte Mitchell was 1-for 4 with a homerun and three RBI and two runs scored. Luke Haines was 2-for-2 with a runs scored for Notre Dame. Ross James came out of the bullpen for Notre Dame. He tossed six innings allowing only two hits while striking out seven.

Hunter Dame goes 7-0 on the mound for Conway this season.  Tyler Simpson collects two hits.

Greenville 8, Bloomfield 1
Trey McDaniel moved to 7-1 on the spring tallying 10 strikeouts in the complete game win.  Trynton Tompkins went 2-for-4 with an RBI, while McDaniel added a hit and RBI at the plate.
