Scouting Report:
Riney is a 6-foot-4 195-pound left-handed pitcher from Lafayette HS in St. Louis.  iney is a strike thrower pitching to contact and throwing to several hitters during his outing.  He works both side of plate and has feel for off-speed pitches.  Fastball at 78-80 mph, late run, curveball has 1-to-7 shape, near fastball arm speed, 59-63 mph, change-up at 69-73 mph, fastball arm speed.  Riney has high three-quarters release, controlled tempo, aggressive getting down mound, lands in athletic position. Riney has been up to 86 mph from the outfield.

The Future Games will take place on July 30 - Aug 1 (Thursday-Saturday) at Grand Park, a state-of-the-art 22-field baseball complex located in Westfield, IN, just north of Indianapolis. The Prep Baseball Report Future Games is the premier summer scouting event for Class of 2017 prospects and select 2018 prospects. Last year, more than 110 colleges from all over the country were in attendance.
