PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process? Was it as expected? Easy/Difficult?

Hausmann: I was expecting it to be a longer process than it was, I thought it would end up going into the summer.  At the start of high school I really didn’t know what to expect in regards to recruiting, I just thought that if I work as hard I can all things will fall into place from there.  At times the process was a little bit stressful but I am just happy it is over.

PBR: Did location or distance from home play a factor in your decision?

Hausmann: Yes it did I wanted stay closer to home so my family can come visit and see me play whenever they want.

PBR: Where did Missouri State first see you? How did your relationship develop with them?

Hausmann: They first saw me at their camp a couple of weeks ago.  After the camp coach Evans called me and expressed their interest in me and that they wanted me to come down to campus.

PBR: Who is the best player you have faced in your state, and why?

Hausmann: The best player I have faced is probably Mark Vierling because he is an extremely advanced hitter with a very aggressive approach and he is also a plus defender.

PBR: What advice would you give to young baseball players striving to get where you are?

Hausmann: Work as hard you can because someone is always working harder than you and you only have one chance to go as far as you can playing this game

PBR: What do you do in the offseason to keep yourself in baseball shape and prepare for the upcoming season?

Hausmann: I work with Brian Delunas to work on becoming the best pitcher I can be and to be game ready once the season comes around.  I also work with Josh Kessel in the weight room to work on getting stronger and getting in better shape for the season.

PBR: What is the most memorable moment in your baseball career to this point?

Hausmann: The most memorable moment in my baseball career so far would be being on the state championship team this past year and just being a part of the team this past year.   it was a fun team to be a part of.

PBR: What do you like most about Missouri State and what were the key factors in making your decision?

Hausmann: The program overall was just very appealing to me overall, the facilities, the coaching staff are great.  The key factor that made my decision was coach Evans and the way he runs the pitching side of things and his track record of developing pitchers.

PBR: What other schools were on your short list before you made your final decision?

Hausmann: It came down to Missouri State, Arkansas State, and Evansville.

PBR: Describe your experience at the PBR Future Games

Hausmann: My experience at the futures games was great I had a lot of fun playing with a lot of guys I had played with before and also playing against the completion that was there made it a great experience as well.

PBR: When did the recruiting process really start to heat up for you? Was there a particular game or event that you feel turned the corner for you?

Hausmann: I felt like going to the Futures Games helped out the most with the recruiting process

PBR: Preview your high school season for us. How do you feel CBC will be? What are your expectations and goals? Name some player that will play a key role for CBC in 2016.
