Unsigned Senior Spotlight: Dylan Riley (Holden HS)

Dylan Riley, RHP/SS, Holden HS

Riley is a 6-foot, 175-pound two way player, who showed ability both on the mound and in the field.

On the mound, Riley uses a quick delivery and comes from a high ¾ arm angle throwing a heavy 73-77 mph fastball. He also throws a late moving, sharp 10-to-4 breaking ball and a split finger fastball, a pitch that when he stayed on top of had good late action. With a bit more rhythm and body control on the mound, Riley has the tools and ability to be a more consistent pitcher.

This summer he saw his fastball sit in the low 80's, an increace in velocity from his showing in February

In the field, Riley showed good instincts to the ball and a quick arm with accurate throws across the diamond.

At the plate, he has an explosive lower half and violent swing that generated some bat whip as he drove the ball with authority to both power alleys.
