Two big high school tournaments kick off this weekend, the 2011 Skip Schulz/West Central Missouri Baseball Tournament hosted by Smith-Cotton and Warrensburg High Schools and the 15th Annual Springfield Red and Blue Tournament hosted by Glendale, Hillcrest, Kickapoo, and Parkview high schools.
The 2011 Skip Schulz/West Central Missouri Baseball Tournament features No. 6 Rock Bridge playing in the Skip Schulz pool with Ray-Pec and Harrisonville high schools, No. 11 Lafayette in the Ross Dey pool with hosts Smith-Cotton and Warrensburg high schools, and No. 19 Boonville in the Earl Finley pool with Oak Grove and Holden high schools. Games will be played at Liberty Park Stadium in Sedalia and University of Central Missouri's Crane Stadium in Warrensburg. For a complete schedule of games, click here.
The 15th Annual Red and Blue Classic gets under way on Thursday in Springfield,MO. Broken down into the Red and Blue Divisions, sixteen teams will be in pool play at Glendale and Kickapoo high schools for the Red Division, Parkview and Hillcrest high schools will host the Blue Division games.
