As the summer winds down, the Central Carolina Scholastic Summer League (CCSSL) ramps up its playoff format, and is getting ready for their all-star game.  The CCSSL has become a very competitive league offering players the chance to stay close to home and play several times per week with their high school teammates.

The semi-finals and championship rounds saw Richmond County put an exclamation point on a succesful summer. In the semi-final round, Richmond used two big innings to dispose of a good Holly Springs club.  Putting up five runs in the fifth and sixth innings proved to be the difference.

In the other semi, Rolesville would out slug Garner, 11-9.  Eight hitters had at least one hit, with Christian Baker landed a big blow, leaving the yard.

The championship game was one-sided with Richmond pounding out 12 hits to Rolesvile's 3.  Jonathan Lee and Justin Ingram each had two hits, including a double.

PBR was on hand with quick game reports and highlights from impact players.
