With the 2017 spring season right around the corner, PBR New England is eagerly anticipating bringing the New England states the best high school coverage throughout the region.

Starting in Late-January, we began releasing team previews for teams across the state, leading into the Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings.

2017 CONNECTICUT SPRING TEAM PREVIEW: E.o. Smith

Team Name: E.O. Smith
Head Coach: Mike Susi
Division: L
2016 Record: 13-7
Conference Record: 7-3
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 4/4

2017 Team Strengths:

Great bunch of kids, with good knowledge of the game

2017 Team Weaknesses:

Run Production
Catching

Coach Outlook: "Tough schedule and many new offensive faces, senior dominant pitching staff, young behind the plate."

PBR Outlook: Coach Susi will for sure have the EO Smith club ready to play. Look for Patrick Hannon a left-hander pitcher should have a monster year. The fastball is in the low to mid-80s, breaking ball will lock hitters up. Left-handed hitter Andy Wasilefsky should hit right in the middle order, is a solid run producer.
