With the 2017 spring season right around the corner, PBR New England is eagerly anticipating bringing the New England states the best high school coverage throughout the region.

Starting in Late-January, we began releasing team previews for teams across the state, leading into the Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings.

2017 massachusetts SPRING TEAM PREVIEW: grafton

Team Name: Grafton
Head Coach: Michael Coohan
Division: SWCL
2016 Record: 15-5
Conference Record:
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 6/4

2017 Team Strengths

Leadership from the senior class
Offensively they should be very strong 1-9
Starting Pitching and Relief pitchers will be deeper than they have had in the past
Defensively they will be solid

2017 Team Weaknesses:

Defensively, will have to rebuild a middle infield that has been left wide open due to graduation. With a solid group of returners they should be able to fill those two holes, but it will take time to replace.
They will need to lock down a true number 1 pitcher. Team will have a solid group of pitchers, but need to figure out who will be the go to guy

Coach Outlook: "The expectations at Grafton High have not been higher since I took over the program 5 years ago. We have solid senior leadership and a core group of returners who were part of our success last season. I am very excited to get started on what should be a special year."
PBR Outlook: Good looking club that is solid in the middle of the field. They should have a productive offense so the question lies on the bump. Interesting team to follow.
