FLEMINGTON – Hunterdon Central beat Immaculata 10-0 in a run rule shortened game on Tuesday afternoon. Lehigh recruit RHP Peter Woltsersdorf went the distance for Hunterdon Central, a complete game shutout of Immaculata, surrendering just two hits and walking one. Hunterdon Central LF Kevin Johnson provided some offense, going 2-3 with two doubles and 3 RBI.

The Red Devils got on the scoreboard in the second inning and never looked back. 1B Pete Cosentino led off with a single and with one out, Johnson drove him home with the first of his doubles. With two down in the inning, number nine batter SS Ryan Koep doubled home Johnson for the second run.

The game rolled right along until the fifth, when the Red Devils poured it on Immaculata and scored six runs on three extra base hits and sent 12 batters to the plate. DH Andrew Ollswerther sent a towering three run home run into the woods beyond left field for the big blow. Hunterdon Central would add two more in the sixth to complete the mercy rule win.
