Prep Baseball Report

Welcome to PBR New Jersey

With great pleasure, we bring to you Prep Baseball Report New Jersey. Our mission in New Jersey mirrors that of other state-specific coverage: to provide the most comprehensive in-state information, to promote high school baseball and, ultimately help New Jersey prep athletes achieve their dreams of playing baseball at the next level. Our goal is to be the No. 1 resource for high school baseball in New Jersey.

Although it will take some time to achieve the status of our other 25 states, we are certain we have the right person to thoroughly, accurately and honestly scout New Jersey:

Sean McGrath.

With his roots firmly entrenched in New Jersey, McGrath comes to Prep Baseball Report New Jersey after serving three years at Iona College as the pitching coach and recruiting coordinator. During his time at Iona College, he helped increase Iona's win total each season and greatly improved the program's pitching staff. McGrath has also mentored 2014 29th round draft pick Mariano Rivera III, who is expected to be re-drafted in the top 5 rounds this June.

Prior to his time at Iona, McGrath played for the McAllen Thunder, an independent professional team in the United League. A left-handed pitcher, McGrath was a four-year starter at Lafayette College, where he made 70 appearances. The New Jersey native played his high school baseball for Hudson Catholic Regional High School.

Now McGrath will bring his baseball experiences and connections to New Jersey’s prep baseball scene. McGrath will work tirelessly to bring to you the most comprehensive high school baseball information New Jersey has ever seen and provide coverage to all corners of the state. But he can't do it alone. Please email him a [email protected] with college commitments, relevant news, and top players in your area.

New Jersey events are already set up at top-flight venues across the state. Prep Baseball Report events are designed to give players the maximum exposure needed to advance to the next level. Not only will players receive high-level exposure from college coaches, but all players at events will be videotaped, and the edited performance will be hosted online. All players' profiles, verified statistics and scouting reports can be searched in our expansive player database.
