2015 HS Team Preview: Shaker

As the High School baseball season quickly approaches, PBR NY will be previewing teams across the state over the next month. We will also be out scouting the High School season providing NY with the most in-depth amateur baseball coverage possible. To do this we have hired nine scouts, spread across the entire state to give players the platform they deserve to be seen.

Last Years Record: 13-8 Overall - lost to CBA in Section 2 Class AA quarterfinals.

Coach Frank’s Outlook:
Several new faces to the lineup with more depth this year in the lineup giving us flexibility. We will need to develop some much needed pitching depth- with a probable condensed season due to weather. Good team speed/ team defense.  We are really looking forward to our opportunities in 2015.

Alumni update:
2014 was a banner year with first Shaker HS graduate to make the major leagues- Tommy Kahnle- Pitcher Colorado Rockies. Highest Ever Shaker HS Draft pick- Jeff Hoffman 2011 grad- #9 selection in the first round by the Toronto Blue Jays- out of East Carolina University.
