Scouting Report
Preseason (All-Long Island, Feb 2015) Arella stands 6-foot-1 180-pounds with broad shoulders. On the mound he uses a side-step, tempo throughout delivery, arm action is back and clean, shoulder separation. Hips stay closed, long stride, lands slightly closed, throws from an over-the-top slot, fastball tops 80 mph but no question there is more in the tank. Athletic body, high ceiling.

Quick Hit
We saw Arella back in the early spring, at our All-Long Island event and we left impressed. His arm worked with clean action while showing the ability to throw an effective off-speed mix. In February he projected to throw harder and this summer he did - from 78-80 to the mid-80's earning himself an opportunity to play D1-baseball at Villanova, come the fall of 2016. Should be a big spring for the athletic lefty.
