Scouting Report
New York Games (July 2015) Conklin was a member of the Genesee Valley Region team during our New York Games this past summer. Pitching at U of R, Conklin brings attractive size (6-foot-2) on the mound and works from the left-side. His arm is clean and his fastball sat 75-79 mph with natural arm-side run. He lands slightly open likely taking away a few ticks on his fastball. Shows a nice feel for a sweeping slurve at 62-65 mph - mixed three-pitches well.


Quick Hit
6-foot-2, lean and athletic, and throws the ball from the left-side commanding all three-pitches. Those are some things you might say after watching the Bloomfield HS standout - Wyatt Conklin. From a scouting aspect, my only concern is the hand-speed on his fastball. The higher the level, the more velocity he will need to attack hitters the way he can now. If he can work his way up to 80-83 with the same feel he exhibits now, Conklin's college future looks bright.
