Comsewogue Vs. Harbor Field: Game Recap

Comsewogue 5 - Harbor Field 3

Comsewogue High School took on Harbor Field today in the third game of there three game set.  Comsewogue already up 2 games to non are looking for the sweep as they send senior Dan Colassanto to the mound.  For the Tornado’s they send Brendon Cunneen to the mound.

In the top of the first Harbor Field jumps out in front with a 1-0 lead.  deBorja leads off the game with a double off the wall followed by a single from Leone.  With runners at the corners and no one out Dlusinsky walks to make it bases loaded.  McQuade grounds out into a fielder’s choice scoring the first run of the game.  Colassanto gets the next to batters out.  Heading into the Bottom of the third Comsewogue gets on the board Stiles leads off with a walk.  He later advances on a ground out to second.  A wild pitch moves him to third base.  John Broun steps up and walks making it first and third.  A fielder’s choice scores the first run for Comsewogue making the score tied 1-1.  In the top of the 4th Harbor Field gets back 2 as Jessie Lankeaux belts a 2 run homerun over the right field fence. Score now 3-1.

That lead doesn’t last long as an infield hit and a stolen base sets the stage for senior Pitcher/Outfielder David Noodland belts a RBI double to make it 3-2.  With runners on first and third Senior Short-Stop Robert Dattoma steps up and rips an RBI single to tie the game at 3.  Comsewogue gets ahead in the bottom of the 6th as Noodland strikes again with another double.  A wild pitch moves the runner to third base.  Colassanto rips a single up the middle to take the lead.  He later steals second and up comes hot hitter Robert Dattoma as he hits an RBI single to make it 5-3.  That’s all Comsewogue needed to go on and win.
