DII Blatter keeps on winning, DII DiStaffen trio takes no-no into sixth and DI Graham wears out the base paths

DJ White (Rush-Henrietta), Andrew Treviso (Fairport) and Jake Canfield (Penfield) combined on a 1-hitter as DII-DiStaffen scored in the top of the first and never trailed. White struck out one and walked two over three innings for the win. Treviso fanned four and retired all six batters he faced over two shutout innings. Canfield set down one on strikes and walked one in two innings of work.  Caden Hann (Webster Thomas) tripled, drove in a pair of runs and scored once to lead the offense. Chris Goyette (Medina), Caleb Richardson (Greece Athena) and Nate Sherman (Medina) all collected two hits and scored one run apiece. Richardson drove in a run. Zach Geist (Greece Athena) broke up the no-hit bid with a two-out single in the sixth. Alan Michael LeFrois (Churchville-Chili) struck out two over two shutout innings in relief for DII Maynard. Kyle Egan (Eastridge) also fanned two in two scoreless relief stanzas.

DII Blatter 4 DII Sova 0
A trio of hurlers combined to scatter five hits, and DII Blatter improved to 5-0 on the season. Troy Leibert (Brockport) started and picked up the win tossing three innings. The right-hander struck out three, walked one and improved his ERA to 0.78 in three appearances on the season. Caleb Courtemanche (Avon) fanned one, walked one and surrendered two hits over two frames. Josh Ferris (Churchville-Chili) set down three on strikes and worked two innings. For the save. Tommy Cole (Greece Athena) made it a 2-0 game with a two-run home run in the second inning. Korey Canton (Greece Odyssey) doubled the advantage with a triple in the sixth. Mason Major (Mynderse) struck out three and walked two over two shutout innings in relief for DII Sova. The right-hander worked out of two-on, no-out jam in the fourth getting a double play before finishing the inning with a tag at the plate.

DI Christiano 7 DI Wiktorski 6
Tommy Baxter (Webster Schroeder) and Jorge Oropeza (Greece Athena) provided a home run apiece as DI Christiano jumped to an early lead and held off DI Wiktorski. Oropeza connected on a first-inning grand slam while Baxter drilled a two-run shot in the third. Oropeza plated Will Porter (Irondequoit), Baxter and Sam Velletri (Brockport) when his line drive to right center barely beat the outfielder. Baxter sparked a three-run third when his drive into the right center gap scored Porter. John Gassler allowed three runs on five hits over four innings for the win. The southpaw struck out six and walked three. Jacob Loewke (Churchville-Chili) worked two innings for the save.  Tyler Smith (Fairport) singled home a pair of runs in the fourth as DI Wiktorski cut the deficit to three at 7-4. Andrew Sanchez (Rush-Henrietta) took advantage of a series of errors to score in the seventh, and Ryan Lukas (Victor) brought home Jared Signorelli (Victor) with a sacrifice fly to make it 7-6 game. Ben Cowles (Newark) tripled to lead the game and scored on a Jayson Faynor (Lima Christian) sacrifice fly to give DI Wiktorski a 1-0 lead in the first. The two teams combined for 12 consecutive outs from the top of the fourth to the top of the sixth.

DI Graham 17 DI Bunting 1
Ryan Hill (Webster Thomas) and Jordan Maher (Midlakes) paced a prolific offense which banged out 19 hits and put a crooked number on the board in four separate innings. Hill finished a triple shy of the cycle going 3-for-4 with two RBI and two runs scored.  The DI Graham infielder improved his league-leading batting average to .636 on the season. Maher collected three hits including two doubles and drove in six runs. Michael Muehlig (Batavia-Notre Dame finished 4-for-4 with two RBI and four runs scored. Shane Harisis (Eastridge) and Alex Vogt (Webster Schroeder) collected three walks and three runs apiece. Vogt needed just 57 pitches over five innings for the win. The right-hander struck out three, walked one and allowed one unearned run on four hits. CJ Wiest (Brockport) and Maxx Countryman (Avon) both tossed a scoreless inning of relief. Casey Saucke (Greece Athena) collected two hits in his only two at bats for DI Bunting.
