New York Proudly Announces The Hiring Of Rich Thomaselli As Lead Writer

Dan Cevette
Director, New York

PBR New York is extremely excited to announce the hiring of Rich Thomaselli as our Lead Writer. Rich is a nine-time award-winning sportswriter and author, bringing 28 years of journalistic experience to Prep Baseball Report. He is the founder and co-managing partner of Hudson Valley Sports Report, a highly successful, high school-centric online daily newspaper covering sports in a four-county area.

Rich began his sports-writing career in 1986 at the age of 21 by covering high schools for the hometown Poughkeepsie Journal. In 1996, Rich moved west, covering the University of Michigan football and basketball programs for the Ann Arbor News as well as The Sporting News magazine. Rich also co-hosted a morning drive radio program in Ann Arbor and, later, was a host on several shows for WDFN, then the No. 1 sports radio station in Detroit. He also covered the University of Miami football program for Florida Today, and for 11 years was the sports marketing writer for Advertising Age magazine. He has covered numerous Super Bowls, World Series, NCAA Tournaments and college football bowl games.

Bringing someone with Thomaselli's experience to our PBR New York team will only help to maximize our amateur baseball coverage across the entire Empire State. Rich will be in-charge of a weekly New York Plus column - digging deep inside New York's high school baseball scene. He will also focus on articles regarding coaches, players and teams with any-and-everything related to baseball. This is an exciting move for us and we look forward to Rich's high-end news pieces starting next week.
