New York State Games: All Roads Lead To Binghamton June 25-27

All roads lead to Binghamton. Prep Baseball Report’s 2017 New York State Games will take place from June 25-27, and the Binghamton Bearcats will host the Empire State’s finest on what will be their upgraded facility.

Coaches representing more than 70 colleges and universities attended the 2016 games. A who’s who list of talent from around the state participated in the event with players such as Tanner Cooper (Stony Brook), Shane Marshall (Binghamton) Parker Hendershot (Buffalo) James Rubino (Seton Hall) David Yourke (Wofford) committing to schools soon after the event. Currently over 70 players who attended last year event have committed to college baseball programs.

The 2017 New York State Games will be bigger and better.

The third annual event will include as in years past individual showcases on the first two days. Players will have a chance to perform while college coaches gain measurables and live-evaluation. Games will follow on  day two and three with teams playing in three contests during the three-day tournament. Some games will also be played at Union-Endicott High School. Prep Baseball Report New York is the leading resource for talent in New York State. Founded in 2014, PBR New York with its boots-on-the-ground approach provides comprehensive evaluation of players from Albany to Buffalo, New York City to St. Lawrence County and all points in between.  

The Binghamton Bearcats have advanced to the NCAAs three of the last four seasons and on four occasions in the past eight years. Through an anonymous donor the America East school recently began renovations to its baseball facility which will include the installation of FieldTurf and broadcast-quality stadium lights. Six Binghamton alums currently play minor league baseball. The Bearcats Scout Day this past fall drew 20 MLB representatives.
